The Strikers got the choccies when these two sides met the other night at this same venue and as we predicted, the return to Adelaide Oval was a major factor in a dominant win to the boys in blue.
Perth continued their disappointing season with another shocker of a performance as they were comfortably beaten by 71 runs. The Scorchers had restricted Adelaide to 165 runs and got off to a flyer in their run chase before an all-time batting collapse. It all went pear-shaped pretty quickly as they went from 2-40 off 4 overs to all out for 94 with 5 overs still left in the innings.
The Strikers continue to keep getting better as the competition goes on and will be happy to return back to their beloved Adelaide Oval where they will try and repeat the same performance which took them to 3rd place on the BBL ladder.
It looks an uphill battle for Perth who remain as the only team without a win so far in the tournament and haven’t even looked close to firing a shot for most of their BBL10 campaign. The pressure will be on to try turn things around here tonight.

Match Prediction
I mentioned both these team’s struggles with the bat in our previous match preview and highlighted the fact this match would be won with the ball in hand. That was certainly the case as the Strikers rolled the Scorchers for 94 runs and we saw our best bet salute easily.
While I can’t see the margin of victory being as large this time around, there’s nothing to say the Strikers won’t win again. Perth have looked poor throughout the season and turned in another disappointing effort the other night. On the other hand, the Strikers looked as good as ever and the momentum they will carry into tonight will only increase the chances of another victory.
Perth will be under the microscope in terms of an improving effort and will want to change their losing ways. With a relatively inexperienced roster, we may see some players crack under this sort of pressure and I expect the Strikers to take advantage of this.
I think the home side will be too strong again for a struggling Perth team and looks like the most straight forward selection of the night.
Adelaide Strikers Prop Bet
Phil Salt is one of the innovative batsmen in the competition and can hit boundaries all over the park. He finally found his groove in the last match against the Scorcher where he top scored with a big-hitting 51 from 31 balls.
While Salt can be rocks or diamonds a lot of the time, he has a great record against the Scorchers, posting 50+ runs against them in their last two matches. He will take some confidence from his performance the other night and is a much better player when he is free flowing and confident.
Keen to back him at the price and looks a great chance to build some bank on tonight’s match.

Perth Scorchers Prop Bet
Well what do we do with the Scorchers? Seemingly every player in their squad has been struggling this season and makes it tough to assess their side.
With that being said I’m going to side with one of their newest recruits in Jason Roy. Roy is a world-class T20 player and is well known for being one of the most destructive batsmen in world cricket. He plays his second match for the Scorchers here and looked like he was just getting going before being dismissed for 21 in his Perth debut.
Roy will be keen to turn his new team’s fortunes around and lead by example at the top of the order. The Scorchers have lacked runs throughout the season and Roy looks the man to change this.
