Canterbury Bulldogs vs Sydney Roosters (Friday 7.35pm AEDT)
The Bulldogs and Roosters have both struggled this year as injuries and suspensions have taken their tolls. The Roosters looked great last week like they did earlier on in the season, whilst the Bulldogs struggled to put in an 80-minute performance against the Cowboys. They welcome back their captain this week after serving a long 5-week suspension and you can expect him to come out aggressive and looking to make an early impact on the game. Josh Reynolds has been named to start at five eighth but if he fails to make an impact or is playing poorly than he could be benched for Moses Mbye who has been playing superbly in Reynolds absence. The Roosters will be too classy for the Bulldogs who will struggle for attacking potency against the Roosters strong defence.

North Queensland Cowboys vs Brisbane Broncos (Friday 7.35pm AEDT)
These two teams met earlier in the season and it was the Broncos who put a big scoreline on the Cowboys who were struggling at the time. The Cowboys are a much better side than they were as they have been clicking on all cylinders and have now won five in a row. The Broncos are also the travelling side and despite welcoming back Sam Thaiday from a week suspension they will lose Josh McGuire who entered an early guilty plea and will miss one week. These two sides escaped with a victory last week after going behind late and will need another valuable two points as we get closer to the Origin period.

Parramatta Eels vs New Zealand Warriors (Saturday 3pm AEDT)
The Eels have shown glimpses of their potential throughout the season and have played matches where they have clearly been the better team. However, they struggle massively with their consistency and because they were pretty awful last week, that suggests they should be brilliant this weekend. Meanwhile, the Warriors aren’t very consistent themselves. They picked up a rare away win last week as they stole the match from the Sharks with a late Shaun Johnson try. I expect them to win again this week but the Eels will be looking for redemption from earlier in the season and when they play on home soil you never know what to expect.

Gold Coast Titans vs Cronulla Sharks (Saturday 5.30pm AEDT)
The Titans were very disappointing last week in Canberra but they return home to face a Sharks side that is ravaged by injuries. They will again be without captain Paul Gallen and they will need Andrew Fifita to step up his game along with the rest of the team to fill the void left by their enforcer. The Titans will need to return to their attacking best as last week they struggled to score points whilst their line was crossed too many times.

Melbourne Storm vs South Sydney Rabbitohs (Saturday 7.30pm AEDT)
The Storm has proved their critics wrong this year as they have continued to dominate the competition. They sit in equal second whilst the Rabbitohs have struggled without their halfback Adam Reynolds. The Rabbits got a win on Monday night against the highflying Dragons but that was with Reynolds back in the starting lineup. He unfortunately suffered another injury setback and will be sidelined for another 4-6 weeks. The Rabbitohs will struggle without him in the team but the Storm are at such a short price.

St George Illawarra Dragons vs Canberra Raiders (Sunday 2.05pm AEDT)
The Canberra Raiders have such a superior record against the Dragons despite losing a match against the Dragons earlier this season. It was Round 3 and the Raiders had raced to an early 18-0 lead and it looked as if the Dragons would lose their third match in a row to start the season. No one could predict the Dragons would comeback and win this match, then go on a six match winning streak that only ended last Monday night. The Dragons have been terrific, but to the Raiders credit they have been good too. This will be a great clash and the Raiders hold a 3-2 record in their way in Wollongong and a 16-8 overall record.

Newcastle Knights vs Wests Tigers (Sunday 4pm AEDT)
This is a very even match up with both sides struggling for consistency. The Tigers have shown they are a young side that is lacking in experience but can match it with the best when they click together. The Knights were the hot team at the beginning of the season and were the only unbeaten side after four rounds. Since then they have had a reality check, losing their next five games in a row. They have their best chance to snap that skid this weekend but they will be without their star Jarrod Mullen as his toe injury could be worse than first thought.

Manly Sea Eagles vs Penrith Panthers (Monday 7pm AEDT)
The Sea Eagles have won two in a row and could climb off the bottom of the ladder with a win against the Panthers. However, the Panthers are starting to see familiar faces returning to their starting side. James Segyaro will return at hooker after recovering from an elbow injury whilst Jamie Soward made his return last week. Segyaro will provide a huge boost and it will help the forwards get a roll on going. The Sea Eagles should suffer another loss, despite playing at home.
