Champions League Matchday 6 Betting Tips
RB Leipzig vs Manchester United
Wednesday, 7am AEDT
RB Leipzig come into this final Matchday sitting third in Group H but still very much in the hunt for Round of 16 qualification. Leipzig have won three of their five group matches to date and are equal on points with PSG and Manchester United in what’s a very tough and competitive group.
Manchester United have performed well enough to give themselves a chance to progress through to the knockout phase. They started off on fire with wins in their opening two matches against PSG and Leipzig, but a third up loss to struggling Istanbul Basaksehir brought them back down to earth.
These clubs met a couple of weeks ago in England and it was Manchester United who were the far better team on the day, winning by a whopping five goals to nil. United hold the tiebreaker due to that result, which means only a Leipzig win would see them advance through to the knockout phase, with a draw not being good enough unless PSG somehow lose at home to Istanbul (highly unlikely).
Leipzig will have to be on the attack from the outset in this one, which will leave them vulnerable at the back against a United outfit that banged in five against them last time they met. Leipzig have also conceded three goals in each of their last two matches in major competitions, so we’re really liking the Red Devils to hit the scoreboard a couple of times on Wednesday morning.

Ajax vs Atalanta
Thursday, 4:55am AEDT
Ajax have had some great success in recent UCL campaigns and are a good chance to continue that this season. The perennial Eredivisie champions have amassed a 2-1-2 record through five group matches, with both of their losses coming against Liverpool by 1-0 score lines.
Atalanta are seemingly a club on the rise in world football after three improved years on the spin in the Serie A. They made it to the final eight in the UCL last campaign where they lost to eventual runners-up, PSG. Atalanta let a big opportunity slip last week when they drew at home with Daniash club Midtjylland, which has put a lot more pressure on them in Matchday 6.
Liverpool have already secured top spot in Groud D, while Midtjylland are set to finish in last. This means that Atalanta (2nd, 8 points) and Ajax (3rd, 7 points) are vying for second spot, which awards qualification to the Round of 16. Ajax need a win to advance, while a draw would be enough for Atalanta.
These clubs met in Matchday 2 in an exciting duel that finished 2-2. Ajax were a touch unlucky after leading 2-0 at half time, and will get the added boost of playing at home this time around. They’ve proven themselves time and time again with their backs up against the wall in recent years and are always a tough cover on their home deck. All things considered, we’re happy to be siding with Ajax to get the job done at home in a match with plenty of goals.

Real Madrid vs Borussia Monchengladbach
Thursday, 7am AEDT
Real Madrid haven’t quite been at their best in major competitions this season but are still a threat to any team if they can hit their straps. They enter Matchday 6 of the UCL group stage sitting in third spot in Group B, although they can still finish anywhere from 1-4, such is the competitiveness of the group.
Monchengladbach are an improved club and come into the final round of the group stage on top of Group B. They had a chance to wrap up top spot last week when they played host to Inter Milan, but a 2-3 loss meant they can still finish as low as last if results go against them.
All four teams are still alive in Group B and there are a ton of variables that will decide which two teams progress. With that said, the winner of this match is a lock to reach the Round of 16, so you can expect an intense battle.
Monchengladbach welcomed Real Madrid to Borussia Park in Matchday 2 in a fixture that finished tied at 2-2. Real were the dominant side on the day, winning the shot count 22-9 and the possession count 65%-35%. Now on their home deck this time around in a must win game, we expect Real to have the edge and win their way through to the Round of 16.
