NFL Week 9 Monday Tips
Tennessee Titans at Kansas City Chiefs
Monday 11.20am (AEDT)
The Chiefs bounced back from a loss to the Bills in WEek 6 with a strong win over the 49ers in Week 7. They’ll now have the benefit of home field advantage as well as an extended break in Week 9 after serving their bye round. The break came at the right time for the Chiefs, who were starting to see a few injuries pile up, particularly amongst their skill position players.
The Titans lost their first two games of the season but have since won five on the trot to rocket to the top of the AFC South division. They hold a two game advantage over their nearest rival in the division and have plenty of winnable games in the run home. Star running back Derrick Henry was cooking in the win over the Texans on the weekend, rushing for 219 yards and two touchdowns.
I think the Chiefs will win on Monday but 12.5 is just too many points here. The Chiefs are just 3-4 against the spread this season and 0-3 ATS at home. The Titans, on the other hand, are 5-2 against the spread and 3-1 ATS on the road.
Buffalo Bills at New York Jets
Bills train should continue to roll here. They missed out on a cover by the barest of margins in a game that dominated from start to finish against the Packers last week. Their six wins this year have an average margin of 17.8 points.
Bills -11 ($1.90 at Ladbrokes)
Carolina Panthers at Cincinnati Bengals
The Panthers have been pretty feisty in their two games since trading star running back Christian McCaffrey. They upset the Buccs in Week 7 before taking the Falcons to the brink while covering the spread in Week 8. On the road against a red hot Bengals team is a different ask though. Tough to pick either side at the 7 point line so going unders here.
Under 42.5 ($1.88 at Ladbrokes)
Green Bay Packers at Detroit Lions
The Packers are looking a little lost at the moment, particularly on offence, which means this matchup against Detroit comes at the perfect time. The Lions allow more points than any other team this season, averaging 32.1 against per game. Back Aaron Rodgers and the Packers to get their season back on track against this divisional opponent.
Packers -3.5 ($1.90 at Ladbrokes)
Indianapolis Colts at New England Patriots
The Pats seem to have found a bit of a groove over the last few weeks after a slow start to the season. They are 4-4 on the season and while the Bills have probably locked up the AFC East, New England sit only one game outside the Jets in 2nd place. They’ll have an advantage at home against a Colts side who is missing star running back Jonathan Taylor this week. Like the Pats to cover here.
Patriots -5 ($1.90 at Ladbrokes)
LA Chargers at Atlanta Falcons
Like the look of the overs here. Four of the last five Chargers games have gone over while the over is 5-3 in Falcons games this season. I think the Chargers offence will be firing after a week off.
Over 49.5 ($1.88 at Ladbrokes)
Miami Dolphins at Chicago Bears
This is a stay away for me. If it was in Miami I’d have no problem backing the Dolphins but the Bears have been just competitive enough for me to stay away from this one in Chicago.

Minnesota Vikings at Washington Commanders
This line just seems way off considering how poor the Commanders have looked this season. They come up against a Vikings side that has looked incredibly strong, sitting at 6-1. Can’t get enough of the Vikings here.
Vikings -3 ($1.90 at Ladbrokes)
Seattle Seahawks at Arizona Cardinals
Another over play here. These divisional rivals have been in a lot of shootouts in recent years, particularly in Arizona. Their last two meetings there have resulted in 69.5 points per game.
Over 49.0 ($1.90 at Ladbrokes)
LA Rams at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
It was just 12 months ago that these two teams were the powerhouses of the NFC, now they both look like shells of their former selves. The good thing in this matchup is that at least one of them is in line for a win. That’s about all of the positives I have here. Staying away from this game in a betting and viewing capacity.
