Moonee Valley Racing Tips: Saturday September 3rd
Race 4
(6) Inspirational Girl is first up for Danny O’Brien and Melbourne Cup winning jockey Jye McNeil she does like racing on Soft tracks. The mile trip shouldn't worry her, and she has beaten the champion Zaaki. She has had two jumpouts at Geelong to get her fit enough for this and we have to remember she did win the Group 2 Blamey Stakes at Flemington in March, a race where (2) Mr Brightside finished fourth in. He won first up and should run in the top three. (1) Spanish Mission is talented and returns for Peter Moody and has bigger fish to fry in a few weeks, while (4) Earlswood should get good cover from barrier one and is first up for Maddie Raymond.

Race 5
(7) Coolangatta will start close to even money and is first up for Cairon Maher & David Eustace. Jamie Kah takes the ride and the filly out of Written Tycoon/Piping Hot is one from one on the Soft and did run third in the Group 1 Golden Slipper in the Autumn. She has had two winning jumpouts at Cranbourne in readiness for this and she has won two of her first up assignments previously. (2) In The Congo is a powerful type and has its eyes on the Moir Stakes in a few weeks’ time but gets a great chance to get a look at the Valley here in readiness for that race. (5) Away Game was disappointing last prep and hasn't won for a while but is all class. The spell would have done him good and winning a Group 1 Oakleigh Plate requires a good horse. (8) Zoustyle loves Soft tracks and is four from six on them.
(7) Coolangatta Win
$2.25 (4 Units)
Race 6
(3) Imlovinya will settle around midfield and from barrier three will get a good chance to take up a good position. She ran a nice third (Group 3) first up at Caulfield and did win second up last preparation over 1100m at Flemington. Shes run in two recent jumpouts at Cranbourne where she ran against some quality horses and she has won some quality races in the past including a Group race. If there is fast pace on, even better as she does have an excellent closing speed. (2) Queen Of The Ball led when fourth at Randwick and from barrier 14 may take it up again in this race. (5) Boogie Dancer is next pick because you just can't knock winning form with her winning three on end. She has been freshened for this after winning on Soft and Heavy tracks in the past. (10) Va Via has run two nice thirds recently and has Ollie on board for the Godolphin team and James Cummings.

Race 7
(4) Ranges is never too far away and will use barrier one to advantage on the tight Moonee Valley circuit. He is a model of consistency having finished in the top three in his last seven races, with three of those winning efforts on Soft tracks. His first up effort only two weeks ago was a nie second at Caulfield when caught wide on a Good surface. (7) Corner Pocket for Lindsay Smith ran on well for sixth at Caulfield when first up last time and is first ip after five months here. (5) Wandabaa has good form on Soft tracks in NSW and has Damien Oliver on top. Her unplaced run in the Tatts Tiara (Group 1) in June was better than it looked on paper (12) Enchanted Heart is one of the fitter horses in the race and hasn't had much luck of late and will find this race a touch easier than her Group 2 fourth last start.
