Moonee Valley Racing Tips: Friday, November 3rd 2023

Race 1: Boozebud Plate - 5:45pm (AEDT)

(3) Mr. Charismatic is having his first start after winning a Flemington trial on October 13 and running 3rd in last week's trial at the same track. Team Hayes trains and Damien Oliver rides.

(6) Disturbia has had 8 starts and has placed on 6 occasions. Did win a Pakenham trial last week so can pass the post in first place.

(9) Elba has drawn wide in barrier 11 and has placed on 2 occasions on Good tracks.

(10) Indaza has drawn very wide in barrier 14 for Michael Dee.

(3) Mr. Charismatic - Win

$6.50 (1 Unit)

Race 2: Poppy Appeal Plate - 6:15pm (AEDT)

(3) Lina’s Reel has drawn well in barrier 2 and after getting defeated by the barest of margins last start at Moe, he can go one better here. He didn’t have much luck on debut and will be fitter for the experience.

(1) Big Jimma was scratched on Wednesday at Bendigo in preference for this meeting. Expected to go well.

(4) Perovic may lead them here and will be fitter this time. Billy Egan remains on top.

(5) Tosinsky was 3rd at Mornington last week but was beaten 4.75L. Place chance only.

(3) Lina’s Reel - Win

$2.40 (3 Units)

Race 3: Christmas at The Valley Handicap - 6:45pm (AEDT)

(1) Mr Mojo Risin’ is third up here for Andrew Forsman and Jamie Kah is on for the first time. He was well supported 2 starts back when 3rd at Kyneton before running 4th at Geelong when he got shuffled back midrace.  The extra 200m should suit here.

(2) Choquant has drawn a little wide in 10 and has sound form on Good tracks.

(4) New Level may settle close and may run a good race at odds. He has won on the Good before and Team McEvoy are in good form.

(5) Paris Affair hasn’t won in a while but has been running on well in his races.

(1) Mr Mojo RIsin’ - Win

$4.40 (1 Unit)

Race 4: Inglis Digital Sale 3-8 Nov Handicap - 7:15pm (AEDT)

(4) Gin O’Clock won a Tatura trial 2 weeks ago and by all indications is ready for this. He has tactical speed and could lead them a long way. Michael Dee is on and he is having his first Australian start after a very long break.

(7) Belmia can’t afford to miss the start from barrier 2 and if she doesn’t, she is a big chance here.

(9) Love Tonight won well at Kyneton after settling in the one-one. Has won over this distance.

(1) Prancing Spirit loves Dry ground and was too good for them last start when favourite. Harder here with the top weight.

(4) Gin O’Clock - Win

$4 (1 Unit)

Race 5: Ladbrokes Racing Club Handicap - 7:45pm (AEDT)

(7) Ferlazzo had drawn well in barrier 2 and did win at Penshurst jumpout 3 weeks ago (led all of the way) in fine fashion. Kah is on and she may go forward in and settle in the top few. First up form is sound with 2 placings.

(8) Russian Benefits led and just got run down at Pakenham last start. She will take further improvement from that effort and will look to win over this distance for the second time.

(5) Corner Off has run three 2nds when third up previously and is a model of consistency.

(4) Funzelle may appreciate the inside draw as she was wide last start when 2nd at Moe.

(7) Ferlazzo - Win

$6.50 (1 Unit)

Race 6: Ladbrokes 55 second Challenge Heat 4 - 8:15pm (AEDT)

(3) Kaygeebee beat Tuvalu in a Penshurst jumpout on October 17 and from barrier 2 must be a huge chance on that. He is 1 from 1 at The Valley and has raced in higher class than this before. Both wins have been over 1200m so she might be strong late.

(2) Midnight Charm looks the leader here and is going for his third win over this distance. Likes Dry ground.

(5) Mr Tickles led but faded at Pakenham last time but he does drop 3kg on that effort. Place chance at odds.

(8) Krakarib will go forward and may want a softer track. Place chance only.

(3) Kaygeebee - Win

$3.40 (1 Unit)

Race 7: Musk Creek Farm Handicap - 8:45pm (AEDT)

(3) Cadmus ran on well and got up by a nose at Sale last time but at a tighter track may have to settle a bit closer. He has won 2 from 3 starts on the Good and he should be better at his second try over the distance for the in-from Anthony & Sam Freedman stable.

(4) Florida Dream led at Caulfield 2 starts back when 2nd and may try the same tactics here.

(6) Sea Speedwell is speedy enough and she was trapped in a bit when looking for a run last time.

(8) Kailash will be fitter now and might enjoy this distance as he has won twice over it previously.

(3) Cadmus - Win

$3.20 (1 Unit)

Race 8: Sharp EIT Solutions Handicap - 9:15pm (AEDT)

*Scratched* (2) Electric Belle has placed on 2 occasions at The Valley previously and with her preferred Dry track here, I think she can power over the top of them. She was 5th last start at Caulfield behind Belthill and he ran a good placing at Bendigo on Wednesday.

(4) Vivacious Award is a consistent mare who can place again. First look at The Valley though.

(5) Princess Nefertiti can play up in the mounting yard and probably wants it wetter. One to watch in a few weeks if the rain comes.

(6) Miss Moonshine has won twice over this distance previously and will be up there early from barrier 2.

(2) Electric Belle - Win
