Mildura & Cessnock Racing Tips for Monday, July 17th

We are back with another slate of Monday racing tips. Today we preview the country meets in Mildura and Cessnock and give our tips for every race! Action kicks off from 1pm. 

CESSNOCK RACING TIPS

R3 - Magic Belinda EW
R4 - Dordogne
R5 - Yambaah Prince
R6 - Silent Dream / Red Danaseur EW
R7 - Homily / Kamehameha EW

Best Bet: Race 4 Dordogne

Had no luck first up when trapped wide throughout the race, but backed that up with a solid 2nd placing last start on Soft ground. The favourite here has never placed from five starts on Soft ground so the short price looks very risky.$3.80 for Dordogne.

Best Bet: Race 2 Nil Desperadum

Made a really promising debut back in January when 3rd at Seymour. Settled last after drawing a wide gate there and ran home strongly to be beaten less than a length. Resumes here with one trial under the belt. Can sit closer from barrier 6, strong trainer/jockey combo and looks a very strong chance in this. $2.25.

Weir runner that has won two of his past four, and the two he didn't win were on Soft ground which he's never won on. He's much better on Good ground (has never missed a place) so back to a firm track today should see him go close. Drops in grade from Saturday grade in Adelaide to Monday grade in Melbourne, should go close at $7.
