Kembla Grange Racing Tips: Wednesday, January 3rd 2024
Race 2: Canadian Club Plate - 2:35pm (AEDT)
(1) Silent Russian $3.40: 4YO who goes around fourth up now and showed promise at Newcastle and Wyong. Up to 2000m now which looks ideal as he has been running on late. Last start at Gosford was just a little too tough. Back to Class 1 grade and is proven on the wet track. Goes well.
(5) Whatadilemma $3.50: 4YO gelding who had been doing super before last start. Hadn’t missed the trifecta from the 5 starts before last start. Also proven on the wet track, but the distance is the query.
(3) Denarau $3.20: Early favourite who likes the wet track. Back to suitable grade now and will be playing a key role.
(1) Silent Russian
$3.40 (1 Unit)
Race 4: Carlton Draught Mdn Hcp - 3:45pm (AEDT)
(1) Seton Hill $1.90: Resuming 4YO gelding who has had three decent career runs, without a win though. Has form on a soft deck which shows he should be able to handle the wet. Draws wide, but should be the one to beat here after the promise he has shown in earlier races.
(5) Elizabethan $23/$4.40: Roughie chance who was scratched last week. Only had the one career run which was far from a disgrace. Will be improving from the run and has had two trials since. Should be fit and looks a nice chance at a big price.
(3) Zaragoza $3.20: 4YO from the cummings stable and looks to only be improving each run. Early market drift is a concern, but must respect the stable.
(1) Seton Hill
$1.90 (3 Units)
Race 7: Evergreen Turf Australia BM64 - 5:30pm (AEDT)
(1) Tipitina $3.80: Resuming 5YO who was very impressive when winning two form three during his first prep. Took on the heavy track last start and finished second behind a smart type. Has had two trials leading up to this and hasn’t been asked for too much during those. Draws okay and stable to be respected. Goes well.
(5) Gelatin $2.70: Early favourite who broke maiden last start on the heavy track. Fitter for that run and will again be a danger on weather effected track.
(4) Louie’s legacy $18/$4.20: Roughie of the field who is proven on the heavy deck and boasts a terrific record over this trip. Gets in light with a 3kg claim engaged which puts him right in this at big odds.
Also Backing: (4) Louie’s legacy E/W $18/$4.20 (0.5 Units)
(1) Tipitina
$3.80 (2 Units)
