Horse Racing Tips: Tuesday, April 7th
Kembla Grange Race 1 - (Market)
(1) Already Blessed debuted at Randwick in the rick Inglis sales restricted race back in December and started around the $10 price. HE showed good speed to be with the leaders early and held the fence, kicking through to lead approaching and into the straight. He weakened late and was sent straight to the paddock. He trialed nicely on the Soft7 surface at Warwick farm recently over the short trip, I really liked the way he ran through the line. He looked to handle the conditions well, a replay of that trial (heat 9) can be found here. Obviously we have to respect any money for those on debut.
(1) Already Blessed
$5.00
Kembla Grange Race 2 - (Market)
(11) Duenna has had plenty of chances, she is lining up for start 8 here and has placed three times. She resumed off a 19-week break at the Kenso track in mid-March, she was solid in the betting starting at $3.20 on the NOP coming off a couple of good trial son heavy tracks. She was poorly away and bumped heavily with another runner, was held-up at the top of the straight and never got clear until it was too late. She was beaten just under 2 lengths but clearly should have finished closer. She handled the bog tracks at the trials and should have no problem getting through it. She ran second at her only other second-up run.
Bendigo Race 1 - (Market)
(7) The Billionaire is a debutant from the Anthony Freedman yard, he certainly knows what he is doing when it comes to preparing the babies for the races. The Written Tycoon colt has been to the jump-out's three times going back to November last year, the latest at Balnarring was most impressive. HE jumped well, assumed control and railed well into the straight. He put a big space on them and although the time was only middle of the range for the morning, he was not pressured at all. It was a professional win, a replay can be found here (heat 9). The boking of Zahra is an interesting one, he only has the two rides for the day in Races 1 and 2.
(7) The Billionaire
$2.90
Bendigo Race 4 - (Market)
With an early scratching, the first emergency (13) Tralee Rose gets a start and is a bet. She was on debut at Geelong two weeks ago over 7 furlongs, was slowly away and stuck in the second half of the field early. She lost ground approaching the straight when encountering some slower ones in front but I liked the way she hit the line. She gets the good draw and should handle the wet track, stepping up from the 1400n to the mile looks ideal. Expect her to settle closer form the good draw. Really happy to take on the early favourite (2) He’s Run Away in this from the wide draw, I can’t see a positive attitude from the gate and will be giving our tip a start. He has had enough chances.
