Happy Valley Racing Tips: Wednesday January 18th
Race 1
(12) Raging Blaze is not far off a win. He’s been super unlucky with barrier draws and gets it no easier this time. That said, he ran well last time for 5th only 2L and with so much pace on paper he could capitalise late and run well again here.
(6) Euromissile just kept on battling last time when he was sent forward by Zac Purton but didn’t immediately find a position. If he can settle earlier this time he’s in with a huge chance of winning.
(1) Loriz is a class 4 horse no doubt. He’ll get a win eventually in this grade it’s just a question of whether he can overcome the wide barrier and 61kg to win tonight.
(12) Raging Blaze Each-Way
$12/$3.50 (1 Unit)
Race 3
(1) E Legend should be far too good for this field. He’s dropping in class after racing quite well in 4 starts this prep in class 3. Zac Purton is aboard at top weight but there looks a clear gap in ability between this horse and his rivals here. Should win.
(11) All Is Good had to weave an inconvenient passage between horses last time for 2nd. With a clearer run from gate 3 this time Vincent Ho may be able to get this horse to go one better.
(5) Kung Fu Tea was a great price last time and saluted nicely for us. He races again tonight over the same trip and can run well yet again. He’s drawn wider which won’t help.
(1) E Legend
$4.20/$2 (1 Unit)
Race 6
(1) Tianchi Monster cannot be ruled out dropping to class 3 as he’s won on multiple occasions at this rating over this trip. He’ll get a perfect run from gate 1 and Harry Bentley will only have to present him in the straight for him to be a real danger in this.
(4) Rocket Spade rocketed home last time over 1650m and looks like he’ll appreciate 1800m. He’s short for a horse that gets back but his last performance was eye-catching.
(6) Hava Nageela comes out of a race behind 4YO Classic Mile winner Voyage Bubble. He gets Zac Purton on this time and should be afforded every opportunity from gate 3.
(1) Tianchi Monster Each-Way
$9/$2.70 (1 Unit)
