Quite keen on the card tonight at Happy Valley. It’s a Thursday night card this week as opposed to the usual Wednesday night as the Sha Tin meeting was on Monday for Chinese New Year. Let’s get a few winners tonight. Check out our Happy Valley racing tips below!
Happy Valley Racing Tips: Thursday February 15th
Race 2: Wai Yip Hcp (C4) - 1650m (21:10 AEST)
(6) Cheong Fat can win this race quite easily. He was slow away last time but closed strongly. Conditions should suit him running on from midfield provided he can jump slightly better this time and settle slightly closer.
(8) Atomic Beauty is drawn wide but can win if he takes his time getting across and settles off the speed. My concern is Zac Purton presses forward and the horse is caught wide near the lead without cover.
(2) Charity Bingo dropped in class last start and gets another go in easier grade here. Can’t be left out of the numbers.
(6) Cheong Fat e/w

Race 4: Tsun Yip Hcp (C4) - 1200m (22:10 AEST)
(4) Flying Phantom gets a better gate and Zac Purton to ride here. I’m double dipping with the form line as Cheong Fat comes out of the same race. Expecting this horse to win here.
(11) Super Eagle makes it into the minors simply by looking at his recent record. Serial placegetter.
(1) Golden Long is a young horse and could improve sharply to win here. Won on debut but wasn’t as eye-catching 2nd up. Worth following.
(4) Flying Phantom win

Race 5: The Volunteers' Challenge Cup (C3) - 1200m (22:40 AEST)
(6) Happy Trio will be hard to beat again here. He won nicely last time and can repeat the dose from a good draw. Can’t possibly justify such a generous price for him here.
(3) A Americ Te Specso will be the one chasing down Happy Trio. Zac Purton is aboard and although he’ll let the horse settle towards the rear from the wide gate, he’ll be working home late.
(9) Jumbo Fortune also knows how to let rip and win from the back of the field. Interested to see where he ends up here and how he performs.
