Happy Valley tonight will be the 2nd meeting in a row here after Sunday’s excitement. It was an underwhelming card to go through but there are a few runners here who look capable of winning. Find Blake Lalor's best bets for the program below and good luck to everyone following!
Happy Valley Racing Tips: November 1st
Race 1: Bedford Hcp (C5) – 1000m (20:40 AEST)
(6) Dashing Triumph stormed late last start. Gets gate 2 here and should be favourite with Valhala dropping in trip and Multimore drawn wide.
(8) Valhala looks slightly risky here dropping back to 1000m with Brenton Avdulla riding from an inside draw. He’s racing well but this setup doesn’t look ideal for him.
(2) Multimore may need to work to cross from gate 9 here if he’s to win this race. Zac Purton aboard is a positive but there’s a big against him from the draw.
(6) Dashing Triumph win

Race 6: Hing Wah Hcp (C4) – 1200m (23:40 AEST)
(1) Kokushi Musou can lead from gate 1 here. Was caught wide last start and should get a much better run this time from the inside. If he controls the race he can win comfortably.
(3) Righteous Arion has the 3kg claim here for Angus Chung and is racing well. He hasn’t got a strong winning strike rate though so may be worth throwing in for minors.
(4) Scotch Tycoon is returning here fresh and capable of a nice run. Is a recent class-dropper and has joined the Mark Newnham stable in the off season.
(5) Kokushi Musou win

Race 9: Hing Yip Hcp (C3) – 1200m (00:50 AEST)
(10) Denfield won in determined fashion last start showing good grit to hold on to the lead. Up in class here but is capable of winning tougher races and will be giving 100% based on how he performed last time.
(3) Sugar Sugar has run back-to-back placings now and looks due for a win shortly. Gets the 2.5kg claim from Alfie Chan and boasts an exceptional overall record at this trip. Go well.
(9) Toronado Phantom ran a belter last time for 3rd and draws well again here. He’s a big price to run another drum after last start and should get plenty of favours from the good draw.
