Race 2
Restless Guess will be trying to come out on even terms with David Yellow and Check Pilot in the early stages of this 380m race. Placed at his past two starts, Restless Guess has chased home Perfect Zuma in 23.36 and 23.21 respectively for the 405m at Mandurah. David Yellow was impressive winning in 22.27 two starts ago and that time would see him win again, but there is early speed to test him here so happy to stick with Restless Guess who has had a good start to his career.
Race 5
Willie Gundi comes up with box two which looks good on paper because he should settle somewhere close to the lead. It looks unlikely that he can cross West On Jasmine early but her stamina will be tested late with Willie Gundi a consistent chaser that can run a strong race in this Novice event. In a 14-start career to date, Willie Gundi has won twice and been placed a further eight times which shows that he is ultra-consistent. A recent 30.31 which is one length slower than the standard winning time for this class and distance, should see him fighting out the finish.
Race 12
Akachi’s figures rate well for this sixth-grade race after racing in fifth grade events. She should relish a class drop and good box draw after copping seven or eight at five of her past six. Early box speed looks even here which means Akachi may find the early lead ahead of Aqua Dream. She was second five starts ago when drawing box one in a fifth-grade race and finishing 0.75 lengths off Farmor Ka Ching. Akachi should prove hard to beat in the final race on the program which won’t take place until 1:12 AM AEDT, so hopefully we wake up to a winning result.

Race 4
Two Times Twice looks a big chance of recording a victory after consecutive sixth-placings. Last start he recorded 42.71 when beaten 10.25 lengths but this is a much easier assignment. Prior to those sixth placings, Two Times Twice was a winner at Gosford in this class. That was a back-to-back victory after winning at Dapto over the 600m. Nino De Oro steps up to the 720m and looks a big danger, but I think Two Times Twice will have a couple of lengths on Nino De Oro tonight.
