GRAFTON RACING TIPS
R1 - Locus
R2 - Gypsy Aria
R3 - Kobi Creek / Back To Abilene EW
R4 - Care To Think
R5 - First Rain / Lillooet EW
R6 - Miss Parkin / Collins Creek EW
R7 - Cosgrove
R8 - Arlington Heights
Best Bet: Race 7 Cosgrove
Resumes from a spell and has changed stables to a trainer in good form. The trainer/jockey combo of Edmonds/Lloyd is eye-catching and this is a weak field so if he reproduces his maiden win he'll win this.
Best Value: Race 5 Lillooet
Has a terrific first up record having never missed a place in five first up starts. Has never placed over the distance from four attempts but has obviously never attempted 1400m first up. Last prep went from 1000m to 1600m straight away so not sure they know what its best distance is. Can show up here fresh at $9.50.
CASTERTON RACING TIPS
R1 - Unique Assassin
R2 - Hello My Dear
R3 - Transcript
R4 - Thornberry
R5 - Judelly
R6 - Crystal Pistol
R7 - Honey Magic / Fickle Time EW
R8 - Barely A Grin
Best Bet: Race 5 Judelly
Looks a two horse race for mine between Judelly and Two Hats but Judelly may just have the class here. Won by 10 lengths two starts back before starting favourite in city grade. Had to work early before settling outside the leader and was gone early in the straight. Huge drop back in class here and looks too good. Two Hats third up off a 3 year spell and put the writing on the wall last start.
Best Value: Race 7 Fickle Time
$67 pop here that I think is a bit over the odds. It's a wide open race but this horse finished off strongly at his latest start when midfield at Mount Gambier. His second up record is actually decent with a win and a place from three starts so given the way he finished off first up he might be able to sneak into the money here at $67/$11.
