EPL Matchday 32 Betting Tips
Everton vs Manchester United
Saturday 10th April, 9.30pm (AEST)
Everton are clinging to survival sitting just one point ahead of the relegation zone and with a tough schedule to end the season, they must pick up points against an out of form Manchester United at home. The Red Devils were held to a 1-1 draw by Leicester at home last week, and have just three wins from their past eight games.
Everton have a tough route to survival with their last nine games featuring two top four opponents, five top ten opponents and only two bottom ten opponents. So this game against a struggling Manchester United outfit looms as a fixture they can pinch crucial points from. The Toffees have struggled against United, winning just one of their last thirteen Premier League fixtures against the Red Devils. The 1-6-6 record doesn’t make for great reading for Everton supporters.
Everton have conceded 52 goals this season, the fifth most in the Premier League this season, while United have scored 49 goals, the sixth most in the Premier League. Everton have a 2-1-11 record across their last thirteen Premier League games and it’s difficult to see them finding a way to keep out a Manchester United attack featuring the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Jadon Sancho and Bruno Fernandes. This will be a free flowing affair, with plenty of goals on offer for both sides.
Aston Villa vs Tottenham
Sunday 11th April, 2.30am (AEST)
Tottenham’s top four hopes are alive after Arsenal’s slip up against Crystal Palace during the week. Spurs and Arsenal are tied on 54 points with Tottenham in fourth place on goal difference, however the Gunners do have a game in hand. Tottenham will be looking to keep the pressure on their North London rivals when they travel to Birmingham to take on Aston Villa.
Harry Kane and Heung-Min Son have been on an absolute tear as Tottenham have sparked their charge for fourth place. The star duo have combined for ten goals in Tottenham’s across their last six Premier League fixtures. Son is sitting second in the Golden Boot race with 14 goals, while Kane is equal third with 12 goals and the Villa defence are going to have an almighty challenge to curb their influence on this clash.
Tottenham must keep winning to remain in the hunt for fourth place and with only one of their final eight fixtures coming against a team placed above them, it’s crucial they take care of business against lower placed sides, with a clash against Arsenal looming in the future. Spurs have been in outstanding form, and will continue their winning ways against Aston Villa. Tottenham are at excellent value in this clash.
Manchester City vs Liverpool
Monday 12th April, 1.30am (AEST)
First vs second, seventy three points vs seventy two points, the two clubs who have won the last four Premier League titles. It’s the most important clash of the season on Monday morning as Manchester City host Liverpool in a potential title deciding clash. Man City play Wolverhampton, Brighton, Watford, Leeds, Newcastle, West Ham and Aston Villa to finish the season, it’s hard to see them dropping points against any of those sides -. no top five teams, two top ten teams and five bottom ten teams, so nothing short of a win will be acceptable for the Reds in their quest for the title.
These two clubs are the most in form clubs in Europe, with Man City having a 17-2-1 record across their last twenty Premier League games, while Liverpool are 16-2-2 in that same period of time. These two teams are so evenly matched, Manchester City have the number one ranked defence and the number two ranked attack in the Premier League, while Liverpool have the number one ranked attack and the number two ranked defence.
Manchester City have only lost one of their last six Premier League meetings against Liverpool, with a 3-2-1 record. These two clubs have been the benchmark of the Premier League over the last four seasons, and have played in many title shifting games across that time span. City have had a knack for coming out on the right side in these games, and that will hold them in good stead to keep their spot atop the Premier League table at home on Monday morning.
