EPL Matchday 17 Betting Tips
Brentford vs Manchester United
Wednesday 15th December, 6.30am (AEDT)
Brentford and Manchester United will kick off the mid-week round on Wednesday morning as the Red Devils look to continue their ascension up the EPL table. After a horror stretch that saw them win just one of seven games, Man U have bounced back to win their last three on the trot in the Premier League. Including Champions League games, they are also undefeated in their last six games overall.
Brentford have been pretty impressive in their first season in the Premier League, currently sitting in 10th place on the EPL ladder with a 5-5-6 record. They are coming off an impressive win over Watford at home on the weekend just a few weeks after they also downed Everton.
These two sides have only faced off once in their history, back in July of this year in a friendly game. That clash ended in a 2-2 draw, but I'm not sure we can take much away from that given the Red Devils played what was essentially a 2nd XI in that game. I see pretty good value about the resurgent Manchester United side here. They have the depth to cover for this hectic stretch of games much more adequately than the Bees do.

Arsenal vs West Ham
Thursday 16th December, 7.00am (AEDT)
The game of the week sees two top six sides doing battle as the Gunners host West Ham on Thursday morning. Arsenal picked up a win on the weekend to snap a two game losing streak and halt the momentum on their slide down the EPL table. They were too good for Southampton, winning 3-0 to improve to 8-2-6 on the season.
West Ham have been the surprise packet of the EPL season so far. They currently sit in fourth place ont he table with a 8-4-4 record and have lost just three of their last 14 games in all competitions. They did, however, draw 0-0 with Burnley on the weekend, an uncharacteristic result given they have been involved in some high scoring games so far this year.
I think scoring will be back on the agenda on Thursday morning. These two teams have been had some shootouts in recent history, with the last seven matchups between them resulting in an average of 3.5 goals per game. Back the overs here.
Chelsea vs Everton
Friday 17th December, 6.45am (AEDT)
The Blues suffered a little rough patch over the last month which saw them drop points in multiple games. They fell from the top of the table and now sit in third place with a 11.3.2 record. They are just two points behind Manchester City and one point behind Liverpool, so they will be desperate to keep winning and keep the pressure on in the lead up to back to back games against those two teams at the start of January.
Everton have had a horror season to date by their standards. They are 5-3-8 so far and sit all the way down in 14th place on the EPL table. They have lost seven of their last nine games in the Premier League, including horrendus losses to the likes of Crystal Palace, Wolverhampton and Watford.
Hard not to like Chelsea here given the form that their opponents are in and the fact that they are at Stamford Bridge. The Blues have allowed just 11 goals this season, the fewest of any team outside of Manchester City. Back them to win this one in a low scoring game.
