Best Bet: Race 5 Eureka Street

Comes out of a three-year-old handicap in Saturday city class last start when running down the talented Spanish Reef. Rises 6.5kg but that form is far superior to anything in this race. Slight query on heavy ground but bred by Street Cry out of an O'Reilly mare so really should handle wet ground. Has won on soft.

Best Value: Race 9 Oscar's My Mate Pa

Rich Luck should be very hard to beat in this race but Oscar has two wins and two placings from four starts on heavy ground, and comes out of two strong form races prior to last start. Can bounce back from the inside gate at double figure odds.

Best Bet: Race 5 Dexluther

Four of the eight races have odds on favourites so going to try and find one outside of those at a better price. Pretty keen to take on the favourite Catmosphere in Race 5 and Dexluther comes out of some strong trials recently behind the likes of Condor Heroes, Menari, Overshare and Addictive Nature. Three of those four horses won Saturday races in the last fortnight so the trial form is strong. Draws well and can win on debut.

Best Value: Race 6 Billabong Cindy

Won three races in a row before heading for a spell. Hasn't performed in either first up run previously but has only had 71 days between runs here so should hold residual fitness. With the form it was in prior to going for a short spell, it could definitely continue on its winning ways here at a good price of $7.50.
