Saturday sees Carlton travel to Metricon Stadium in a game that looks like one of the matches of the round. Last week the Suns upset Collingwood. While this is fresh in punters minds, the three weeks prior to that games has seen the Suns get beaten by Richmond, Brisbane and Adelaide.
Did the Blues turn the corner last Friday night in a nail biter over North Melbourne? This is the key question. The blues have been really competitive this year and last Friday’s win over the Roos will be a good confidence booster.

This is a great spot for Carlton. There will be a huge “revenge-factor” here with Gold Coast ending the Blues season last year in round 22. Carlton would not have forgotten about that and today is a big motivational edge in Carlton’s favor. Yes, Gold Coast are the “buzz” team this week, but we think we are getting Carlton at the right price.
It will certainly be a touch four quarter effort by two desperate teams. However, Carlton will come out on top in what should be a similar game to the Gold Coast v Adelaide at Metricon a few weeks back, in which the Suns were ran off their feet.
