Event: PGA Tour - 2013 Wyndham Championship (Sedgefield Country Club, North Carolina)
When: Begins Thursday, August 14th at 9.00pm AEST
All of golf's majors might be done and dusted, but the race for the Fed Ex Cup and the Tour Championship is just heating up, with just one more stop before the playoffs begin.
So this week at the Wyndham Championship players will get their last chance to break into the top 125. 2013 will be the first time that Fed Ex Cup points/standings will determine who retains their ' Tour Cards' and who will go back to Q-School.
Even though the Big Stars will take the week off, there will be plenty of drama at Sedgefield Country Club. Listed as a par 70 and 7127 yards it ranks as one of the easier courses on tour and generally gives up a lot of birdies. This year the greens have been revamped and players are reporting that they are harder and quicker than previous years.
There's a reduced pot up for grabs at $5,300,000, however, and more importantly, there will be full Fed Ex Cup points handed out.
