CANTERBURY RACING TIPS
Race 1 - Gothenburg
Race 2 - The Pharaoh
Race 3 - Spirit And Fire
Race 4 - Token Of Love
Race 5 - Most Exalted
Race 6 - Satirical Magic
Race 7 - Remunerator
Best Bet: Race 5 - Most Exalted
Drops in grade here after running in harder races at all three starts this prep.Drew wide and went back last start and only got clear late so he should have finished closer. Same weight today despite going down in grade, draws well, Bowman takes over and has finished 2nd at his only previous start over track and distance.
Best Value: Race 6 - No Bad Blood
Has placed 5 out of 10 starts at this track and drops from the 1400m back to 1200m here which will suit. Ran in a harder race last start but wasn't far away, he'll go forward from the good gate and could give a sight out front at $15.
SANDOWN RACING TIPS
Race 1 - Heather Honey
Race 2 - Black Mosheen
Race 3 - Castle Hackett
Race 4 - Barjeel
Race 5 - Koolama Bay
Race 6 - A Little Loose / She's Got Speed
Race 7 - Anatola
Race 8 - Lady Effort
Best Bet: Race 3 - Castle Hackett
In career best form having beat Big Duke two starts ago before finishing of well behind Rewarding Effort last start. Those two runs were both over this track and distance and I think the favourite Lady Selkirk is vulnerable so we're getting a good price here.
Best Value: Race 6 - A Little Loose
Comes up around the $8 mark after a solid win at Yarra Valley last start. It's hard to do what she did by coming from the back of the field and sweeping home to win, so she may be ready to deliver on the early promise she showed. She was contesting Group races last prep so if the penny has dropped she may give a good sight here. An each way play on her and She's Got Speed in this race looks a solid bet.
