Canterbury Park Racing Tips: Wednesday, June 19th 2024

Race 5: Schweppes BM72 1900m – 3:10pm (AEST)

(2) Rematch: 4YO gelding who won well last start over 1500m and on the heavy track. He is rock hard fit and has had a couple of weeks between runs, so expect him to be ready to tackle the heavy deck again. Rises in distance but looks capable of winning again here. Aaron BULLOCK to steer is a positive and will be around the mark.

(3) Inuitu: 5YO who gets in well here with a 3kg claim against the others, but previous outings have been rather poor in this grade. Proven second up and narrowly missed over this trip in the past. Doesn’t handle the wet tracks though, so will need a track improvement to be winning. Can surprise though.

(4) Tajawal: International out of Frankel who is yet to impress in Aus, but looks ready third up and out to this trip. Only career win comes from a third up run and must respect the stable with Collett on board.

(2) Rematch

$4.00 (1 Unit)

Race 6: Tab BM72 1250m – 3:45pm (AEST)

(2) Amnesty: 4YO mare who was too far back last outing, but hit the line strongly to only finish 2.5L off the winner. Drops to an easier race now and gets in light with a 3kg claim. The rise to 1250m now looks ideal off the previous run.  Proven second up and came second over this track/distance last time round. Keen.

(4) Molly Nails: Another one who drops in grade and only lugs an extra kg here. Goes well second up and proven over this trip along with on the heavy deck. Must be respected.

(7) Diamond Model: 4YO who was good enough first up. Will only be fitter now and relishes the wet track. Nash Rawiller in the saddle boosts confidence.

(2) Amnesty

$10 (1 Unit)
