BBL11 Sixers vs Heat Betting Tips
SCG, Wednesday 29th December, 6.05pm (AEDT)
Sydney Sixers
Predicted XI: James Vince, Josh Philippe, Moises Henriques, Daniel Hughes, Jordan Silk, Dan Christian, Hayden Kerr, Sean Abbott, Ben Dwarshuis, Mickey Edwards, Lloyd Pope
The Sixers continued their winning ways on Sunday night as they defeated the cross town rival Thunder by 26 runs. Solid batting performances from Daniel Hughes and Dan Christian gave the Sixers a total of 168, but it was their bowling performance that was the catalyst. They bowled out the Thunder for just 142 on the back of three wickets from Hayden Kerr.
Unsure if the Sixers will opt for a change in their line-up here, but one that could come in if they want another spinner could be Pakistani Shadab Khan. After losing Tom Curran and Chris Jordan over the last few weeks, the Sixers have slots available in their XI for international players so Khan could get a look in on Wednesday night.
Brisbane Heat
Predicted XI: Max Bryant, Chris Lynn, Tom Cooper, Ben Duckett, Sam Heazlett, Jimmy Peirson, James Bazley, Mark Steketee, Matthew Kuhnemann, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Xavier Bartlett
The Heat suffered a heartbreaking loss to the Stars on Monday night. Bowling first, the Heat had their opponents reeling at 3/16 before a 151 run partnership between Hilton Cartwright and Joe Clarke led the Stars to a whopping total of 207.
Liam Guthrie was particularly disappointing in the loss, getting smashed for 70 runs off his four overs, the most in BBL history. After that performance, you’d have to think he will make way for the likes of Xavier Bartlett for Wednesday night’s game.
Match Prediction
Tough game to call but I have to side with the Sixers on form. They have barely put a foot wrong this season and even when things looked like they weren’t going their way against the Thunder on Sunday night, they managed to get an ugly win.
The Sixers have won both of their home games at the SCG this season, defeating the Stars by a whopping152 runs and downing the Strikers by four wickets. They have also won two of their last three against the Heat. If they are batting first, throw them to score 145+ for a bit of extra value.
Sixers Bat 1st – Add 145+ for Extra Value
Same Game Multi
Once again, one of our legs will be the 1st dismissal of the game to be caught. So far this has saluted in 19/24 games this season and you can still get great odds for this in a same game multi.
Legs two and three of our multi will be both Chris Lynn and James Vince to score 10+ runs. Lynn has passed the mark in 74% of his innings while Vince has done so in 81% of his innings since BBL11.
1st Wicket – Caught
Vince 10+ Runs
Lynn 10+ Runs
