Match Prediction
The Scorchers surged up the BBL10 table with five straight wins following Christmas, but that winning streak was snapped on Saturday night when they went down to the Sixers in a nail-biter. They currently sit in fourth place with four games to play and can jump above the Stars with a win on Tuesday night.
The Heat sit just one point behind the Scorchers in fifth place and are also in great form. They have won four of their last five games and are coming off a solid win over the Renegades on Thursday night, chasing down a score of 149 with eight balls to spare.
It’s no coincidence that the turn of form for the Heat comes at the same time that Chris Lynn returned to the line-up and found some form with the bat. After missing some games through injury, Lynn has returned with consecutive scores of 30, 48, 56 and 50 in his last four innings and is averaging 45.50 this season, the most of anyone with 200+ runs.
The Scorchers have been getting the job done with both bat and ball of late. Their pace attack looks transformed since getting a few games in at Perth Stadium and although this clash is at Marvel they’ll be tough to beat again. The Heat have their own premier pace addition in the ranks though, as South African Morne Morkel was added to the squad in their last game.
Tough game to call between two of the most in-form teams in the competition but we are leaning towards the Scorchers. They will be keen to bounce back after a disappointing loss to the Sixers and their pace attack has looked fantastic. The Englishmen at the top of the order in Liam Livingstone and Jason Roy have also been dominant, back them to win here.
Scorchers Prop Bet
It’s taken six games but English import Liam Livingstone seems to have finally hit his straps in BBL10. He was dominant in the Scorchers win over the Hurricnaes, belting 54 off just 39 balls before playing a lone hand in the loss to the Sixers with 67 off just 38 balls.
The hard hitting opener hasn’t played against the Heat yet this season, but in BBL09 he smashed 38 off just 31 balls including two sixes as the Scorchers claimed a comfortable win. Back him to clear the 24.5 run line against the Heat again.
Livingstone Over 24.5 Runs

Heat Prop Bet
Chris Lynn is the in-form batsman for the Heat at the moment but his form has been shaky at Marvel Stadium over his career. He has been dominant against the Scorchers, averaging 50+ in 12 BBL games against them; however, he has scored just 70 runs in 6 innings at Marvel Stadium at a very pedestrian average of 14.00.
Lynn made just 14 and 14 in his two games against the Scorchers last season, the first of which came on the back of a dominant 94 against the Sixers just a few days earlier. The hard hitting top order batsman seems to have some problems at Marvel Stadium and with the form the Perth quicks are in at the moment, we think he goes under here.
Lynn Under 27.5 Runs
