Bowling
The Stars were boosted in the bowling department this season with the additions of spinner Zahir Khan and paceman Billy Stanlake. The pair will join Adam Zampa, Clint Hinchcliffe, Marcus Stoinis and Glenn Maxwell to combine for a bowling attack that is streamlined for T20 bowling.
Adam Zampa has taken 69 wickets in 63 career Big Bash League games and in a massive boost for the Stars, the leg-spinner will be available for every game of the season with no international duty to get in the way. Back him to top the Stars wicket-taker tally easily this year.

Batting
Glenn Maxwell and Marcus Stoinis are two of the most exciting T20 batsmen in the world at the moment, and both will be available for the full BBL10 season. Stoinis amassed a ridiculous 705 runs last season, averaging 54.23 including one hundred and six fifties. In the last two Big Bash League season, Stoinis has plundered over 1,200 runs and will be the lynchpin at the top of the order once again this season.
Joining him for some of the season will be the No.19 ranked T20 batsman in the world, Englishman Johnny Bairstow, who will trade in for West Indian star Nicholas Pooran after Christmas. With the departure of Harris Rauf and Sandeep Lamichhane, the Stars had the ability to pick up a batting import, which they have lacked since Kevin Pietersen left a few years ago. Their batting line-up now looks absolutely stacked with Stoinis, Bairstow/Pooran, Cartwright, Maxwell and Maddinson filling the top five spots.
Stars Batsmen Tip Coming Soon
Prediction: 1st
It’s almost become a running joke how many times the stars have just missed out on that elusive BBL title. They have been one of the most successful clubs in the league, reaching the finals every season except BBL07 and getting into the final for the last two years straight only to go down to the Renegades and Sixers. There’s no doubt that they’ll finish high on the table again, can they go one step further and lift the trophy?
