BALLARAT RACING TIPS
Race 1 - Tara Iti
Race 2 - Heather Honey
Race 3 - Fontein Flyer
Race 4 - Mathison
Race 5 - Peaky Blinders / Duke Of Nottingham (Best Value)
Race 6 - Meadow Sprite
Race 7 - Our Vidia
Race 8 - Poppiholla (best bet)
Best Bet: Race 8 - Poppiholla
Best bet of the day purely because I think we're getting a great price about her here. Should have finished much closer at Sandown last start but was held up at a crucial stage, and she'd finished in the top 2 at her 4 starts previous to that. Had a little freshen up, blinkers go on first time, back up to 2000m and Yendall/Weir combination. Just needs to overcome the barrier but $7 is a great eachway bet.
Best Value: Race 5 - Duke Of Nottingham
Looks a promising stayer that can go through the grades. Michelle Payne jumps back on board after using a 3kg apprentice last start and his two wins before last start were quite impressive. At $9 he can run a a good race.
HAWKESBURY RACING TIPS
Race 1 - Recife Beach
Race 2 - Storm Force
Race 3 - Absolute Ripper
Race 4 - Four More Milers EW (Best Value)
Race 5 - She's Demanding (Best Bet)
Race 6 - Hanover Square
Race 7 - Concessions
Best Bet: Race 5 - She's Demanding
Well supported on debut for the Snowden camp but failed to meet expectations. Three weeks into this, McEvoy takes over today and up to 1500m looks a positive move. This race really is very weak and Waller's horse doesn't appear to be finding form so happy to back the Snowden's in again here.
Best Value: Race 4 - Four More Milers
This maiden is absolutely terrible so it could pay to stick with this horse who has placed three times from four starts over track and distance, including finishing 2nd by a nose two starts ago here. Awkward barrier but $18 appeals as value in a weak race.
