Cricket Betting Tips

Australia will aim to round out their home summer in victorious fashion when they take on the West Indies at Optus Stadium on Tuesday.

The hosts are yet to drop a white ball fixture this year – can they continue that trend in Perth?

Josh Nevett takes a close look at the contest with his free preview and cricket betting tips below.

Match Preview

Sunday’s second T20 fixture marked the return of the Glenn Maxwell show, with the game breaking all-rounder once again winning a match off his own bat.

Batting first, Australia were floundering at 3/64 when Maxwell strode to the crease. And the rest, as they say, is history.

Maxi proceeded to clobber 120* off 55 balls including a whopping eight maximums, guiding the hosts to 4/241 with some assistance from Tim David (31*) and Mitch Marsh (29).

Veteran Jason Holder was the only Windies bowler to take multiple wickets, with just about all of them going the distance.

In reply, royal opening pair King and Charles were unable to replicate their hot start from Game 1, both falling within the opening overs.

It left a lot of work for the rest to do, and only Rovman Powell (63 off 36) was able to produce more than a cameo.

Marcus Stoinis (3/36) and Josh Hazlewood (2/31) were the best of the bowlers for Australia, on a night when conceding 10 or less per over was a win.

The home side now have an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series heading to Perth, so the West Indies are playing for pride.

Nevertheless, I expect another high-octane, high scoring affair at Optus Stadium, where the balls comes onto the bat beautifully.

It should suit Australia’s heavy hitters, so I’m backing the men in green and gold to complete a series sweep.

Australia to Win

$1.36 (2 Units)

Prop Bets

I’m going back to the well on this market. In addition to the 16 maximums that were struck between the teams on Friday, 27 were recorded at Adelaide Oval. The batters should get on top again in Perth.

15+ Total Match Sixes $1.85 (Ladbrokes)

Both teams love to go hard at the top, and I can’t see that changing on Tuesday. Pace has gone the distance throughout this series, and Perth usually provides a fast flat surface with a lightning outfield for the openers.

1st Innings Runs Scored after 4 Overs – 40+ $2.70 (Ladbrokes)
