Draftstars has grown from strength to strength during the 2016 AFL season and they are about to host their biggest Daily Fantasy tournament ever!
This Saturday, Draftstars is running a FREE TO ENTER AFL Grand Final contest with a ridiculous $100,000 prize pool! That means you can share in $100,000 for FREE!
This Daily Fantasy tournament has a bit of twist, however.
DFS contests usually see you play against a pool of other contestants and prizes are allocated based on where you finish in comparison to your competitors.
In the free $100K AFL Grand Final contest you just have to beat Campbell Brown!
The contest runs as a Turbo, with each entrant having to pick a team of six players in six different 'slots'. These players then score fantasy points based on their stats such as kicks, handballs, marks, etc. Browny has already picked his team and that's the team you have to beat!
Every entrant in the free DFS tournament who beats Browny will share equally in the $100,000! So, basically if Browny finishes 2nd and you are the only entrant to beat him... you will take home the $100,000 yourself! If Browny finishes 11th, then 10 entrants will win $10,000 and so on!
Of course, there is a chance Browny's team is a dud and hundreds of players score a few hundred dollars each.
Without further ado, here is the team you have to beat:
As an example, in the first slot above, Browny picked Josh P Kennedy out of a choice that included Dan Hannebery, Tom Mitchell, Luke Parker and Matthew Boyd. So if you think JP Kennedy will score the most DFS points out of those players, then he is your choice. But if you think Hannebery is the way to go and he beats JP Kennedy, then you will already be a little ahead of Browny!
Here is how players score their daily fantasy points:
The $100,000 'Beat Browny' contest isn't the only action taking place for the AFL Grand Final as there are dozens of other DFS tournaments ranging in buy-in from $1 up to $200. The largest of these tournaments is the $50,000 prize pool salary contest with a $15 buy-in.
Unlike the Beat Browny contest, this one sees entrants start with a $100,000 virtual salary which then needs to be used to purchase players - but you won't be able to fit all the players you want in your salary cap as (like in real life) the best players cost more to have in your team!
So if you don't have a Draftstars account, click to sign-up today and take your shot at one of the dozens of fun daily fantasy tournaments for the AFL Grand Final - including the free-to-enter contest for your shot at a share of $100,000!
