Where to Attack?
While the Brisbane and Adelaide game looks a tricky match for AFL fantasy trends, the obvious spot is to look at stacking up Collingwood players against the weaker West Coast Eagles.
Collingwood are huge favourites, despite having a number of injuries, so that will create opportunities for other players to play a role.
West Coast have conceded massive points to opposition ruckmen with almost 8 points above the league average. Bailey Williams is undersized and doesn’t get a lot of support, so look to Darcy Cameron and Mason Cox to potentially have a big game for the Pies.
The other area West Coast leak points is to opposition forwards. If the goals are flowing then expect a number of different Collingwood players to cash in.

VALUE PLAYS
Finlay Macrae ($8,250) has finally been brought into the senior side and has been told by the coach that he’ll be getting a full game. No sub vest! Macrae has been desperate for this opportunity for several seasons after dominating at VFL level. A great match up against the bottom team, and should find plenty of the ball. Expect Macrae to be highly owned on this slate!
Lachie Sullivan ($8,250) came in for his debut last week and was fantastic when he got his opportunity. Scored 57 points from 43% game time, and similar to Macrae, you’d have to think he’ll get a good run at this match with so many injuries for the Pies. An absolute ball magnet for many seasons at VFL level, and a mature body - Sullivan is ready to go at AFL level!
MID PRICED PLAYS
Jeremy Howe ($9,510) offers a different angle of attack for this slate. Has been playing in defence all season, but with so many regular Collingwood forwards out through injury, it’s been announced that Howe will swing forward here. Will this be a positive for his scoring? That remains to be seen. He’s been averaging 62.9 this season, but you’d have to say his ceiling increases in a forward role if he can kick a bag of goals.
PREMIUM PLAYS
Dayne Zorko ($15,980) had an incredible game last week with a staggering 184 AFL fantasy points. While that’s an outlier, he has been super consistent all season with a 113.4 average floating across half-back. Just looks hungry for the ball and loves to kick the thing (35 times last week!), so while his price is now getting very high, it’s hard to ignore that sort of form.
Nick Daicos ($16,590) seems cherry ripe to have a massive cash in game against the lowly Eagles. With so many players missing for the Pies, Daicos will have to be busy and it’s hard to see anyone from the Eagles midfield being able to stop him. A Nick Daicos vs Harley Reid match up would be epic! You’ll have to find some value on the slate to afford the pay up to Daicos, and while his 100.8 average is ok, we’re wanting to see more of that 120+ point form from him here.
