The ANZAC Round continues on Friday night as Port Adelaide will host St Kilda at the Adelaide Oval. Both teams are coming off disappointing results last week and will be looking to bounce back hard.
The Power are back at home after going down to Collingwood, and will be keen to ensure they remain a contender for the top four. Meanwhile the Saints had high hopes for 2024 but their season hangs in the balance with a 2-4 record after a poor loss to the Bulldogs last week. Another loss here and finals will look a long way away.
Draftstars continue to offer massive prize pools with the Friday night main being worth $60,000 along with their usual variety of alternate contests:

Adelaide - Cloudy, but very little chance of rain. 17 degrees.
The weather should be cool but fine for Friday night footy in Adelaide!
Where to Attack?
This one could be a bit of a defensive battle, and the points line indicates two teams that are quite strong defensively. The Saints have one of the stingiest defences in the league with their strategy to push back and crowd up the opposition forward line. This frees up the opposition defence to have more space to chip the ball around which means the Saints do give up one of the highest fantasy points to opposition defenders.
Port also have a strong backline and don’t tend to concede points to opposition forwards. However one area the Saints may be able to exploit is in the ruck position. Ivan Soldo is out with Jordan Sweet having sole rucking responsibility against Rowan Marshall who could go big!

VALUE PLAYS
Lachie Jones ($6,000) offers some potential at the minimum price tag. Even though Jones is a defensively-minded player, he has a great match up here to link up for a couple of cheap +3’s in the back half which should see him hit value for us.
Liam Stocker ($6,950) doesn’t jump off the page as a great pick with his 47.8 average for the season. However the interesting stat for Stocker is the four centre bounce attendances he picked up last week. Is this something the Saints will experiment with again? If so, then he might be worth the risk.
MID PRICED PLAYS
Ollie Wines ($11,670) was back in the side last week and although he didn’t have a great game, he has shown upside this season with a ton and a couple of 88-point scores this season. His role is pretty guaranteed with steady CBA’s of roughly 50% this season which is pretty good for this price point.
If you want a Saints equivalent then Marcus Windhager ($11,750) is very similar in price and role. Perhaps has more potential but arguably a tougher matchup here for the young Saint.
Kane Farrell ($12,040) looks a good option in this one. Ryan Burton has been dropped which may give Farrell (and Houston) some more responsibility for kick ins and distribution across half-back. We’ve already mentioned this is a great role against the Saints, so Farrell could be a good point of difference.
PREMIUM PLAYS
Dan Houston ($14,250) is the premium option if we’re sticking with the game script of Port Adelaide defenders. Has back-to-back tons and we’ve seen he’s capable of a massive ceiling so I expect Houston to be a very popular play on Friday night.
Rowan Marshall ($16,490) had a poor game last week, soundly beaten by Tim English. It should’ve been a good match up for Marshall but he did sit out a lot of the last quarter once the game was toast. I’m expecting a big bounce back performance here and should be a fantastic match up against the second-string ruckman in Jordan Sweet. Hopefully a few punters are scared off by the price and the poor last game, and we can see Marshall go large!
