Round 11 for the 2024 AFL Premiership Season brings our usual array of four games, the Super Saturday slate. We get underway in the afternoon with a one-sided matchup between Port Adelaide and North Melbourne down at Blundstone Arena in Hobart. This will have game stack potential, but down in Tasmania can always be tricky. At the same time we also have Carlton hosting Gold Coast at Marvel Stadium with both teams fighting tooth and nail for a top eight stop. Then at twilight we get a marquee matchup between sixth-placed Geelong and third-placed GWS at GMHBA Stadium. Then come nightfall it is Dreamtime at the MCG with Richmond and Essendon squaring off in their traditional matchup. This game looks like it will be a one-sided affair as Essendon are currently sitting second on the ladder while Richmond have just one win all year.

Where to Attack?
From a fantasy point of view targeting any position against Richmond looks to be a winner. The Tigers have been getting obliterated this year giving up the most fantasy points in the league and they are conceding above average points across every position. This means Essendon stacks are probably the top play of the day with the Bombers over 40 point favourites in this contest.
Other areas to be aware of across the other games are that while North Melbourne are still yet to win a game, they are only really giving up fantasy points to opposition forward lines. North like to possess the football themselves and as a result they hold teams to below average fantasy points at every other position, so focus on stacking key and general forwards for Port Adelaide.
Finally, the surprise team to target is Geelong. They have conceded the second most fantasy points in the league in 2024 despite being 7-3 and third on the ladder. They give up the most points in the league to inside midfielders at over 10 points per game above the league average and they also leak points to opposition forward lines.
Game Script – GWS inside midfielders, Essendon backs and Port Adelaide forwards
VALUE PLAYS
Mark Blicavs ($8,910) has had a very slow year in comparison to recent seasons and potentially age is catching up with him. However, at a price point now of under $9k with an upside of 100+ fantasy points that has already been shown this season I love him as a high upside value option on this slate. Geelong are very short on midfielders and in two of the last three weeks he attended over 65% of the Cats centre bounces.
Todd Marshall ($8,680) is an elite matchup play on this slate. He has also shown 100 point upside this season in the right matchup and as noted above, North Melbourne have been getting killed by key forwards this season at over 11 points per game above the league average, the highest mark in the league. North no longer have that one lock down key back who can put the clamps on the opponents best forward like they did last year with Ben Mckay and it has been showing. With Port Adelaide over 40 point favourites it is inevitable that some of their forwards will return big fantasy scores.
Sub Watch
Jye Clark ($6,000)… as always we have to wary of the sub these days in our daily fantasy. So keep an eye on Clark, who when he has played a full game is getting plenty of opportunities through the midfield and has shown 65-75 point upside in that role. Given he is just coming back into the side the sub risk is very really, however fortunately there are other potential options to make the switch to if he is named the sub, such as Toby McMullin for GWS or Jake Rogers for the Gold Coast.
MID PRICED PLAYS
Peter Wright ($10,860) will have every opportunity on this slate to back u his ceiling game of 115 fantasy points from last week with another elite matchup against the Tigers. Richmond have absolutely no one viable to play on key forwards and as a result have been giving up over 6 points above league average to the position. Essendon are 40 point favourites so stacking their forward line is an elite play on this slate and you can look to play Kyle Langford ($11,070) as an alternate option to Wright or even pair them up as a forward stack.
PREMIUM PLAYS
Tom Green ($15,950) has had a rough season this year with injury interruptions. However he draws the best matchup of the season on this slate for him. As noted at the top, Geelong are giving up the most points in the league to inside midfielders and Green should have a total field day in this matchup. Even better it is down in Geelong where the thin ground is more susceptible to stoppages and higher scoring for inside mids.
Nic Martin ($16,860) has found his footing down back as the season has gone on and become truly elite in his new role. It has been an absolute bonanaza for his fantasy scoring as well posting just under 110 fantasy points per game. This is the best matchup in the league for him as the designated kicker with the Tigers giving up over 10 points per game to the position this season. You can look to stack up the Bombers backs with both Andrew McGrath ($14,010) and Mason Redman ($12,310) strong premium options, or spend down with Jayden Laverde ($8,290) or Jake Kelly ($9,890). I would be wary of Nic Hind who potentially will be squeezed forward with Ridley coming back.
