Penrith Panthers
Enjoyed a week off to recovery from a draining game in Round 2 against the Rabbitohs. Now, they face the Eels in the 2022 Grand Final rematch. This is another tough test for this team, enhanced further by their rivalry.

Brisbane Broncos
An exciting finish to their win over the Dragons. Their ability to score 22-points in 9 minutes is impressive but they will want to avoid a similar situation against better teams. Arguably the most confident team in the competition.

Cronulla Sharks
Rare that a team loses and jumps a spot, but the Sharks are a tough team. Still with only 1 win to their name, they are only going to get better and have been tested each week, without Hynes in their team.

Sydney Roosters
The Roosters made a statement with a narrow 2-point win over their rivals, the Rabbitohs. They are another team trending in the right direction. Their recent acquisitions will only strengthen this squad moving forward. They are rewarded with a Bye in Round 4.

Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles
It was a high-scoring affair against the Eels and the Sea Eagles produced something special to overcome their opponents. They have their faults but should continue to improve if their team stays fit. Their first road trip of the year offers a tough test in the Rabbitohs.

South Sydney Rabbitohs
Defeated by their bitter rivals, the Roosters, after leading 10-nil. A late try only flattered them on the score board. Too many mistakes was their undoing and this is an area they must improve upon. Another tough game is ahead against the Sea Eagles.

North Queensland Cowboys
Upset by the Warriors at home, the Cowboys were out-enthused and out-executed by a determined team. It isn’t anything to be worried about; that loss says more about the potential of their opponents. Time for the Cowboys to produce better performances after back-to-back losses.

The Dolphins
Unlucky not to be higher but they only defeated an injury-depleted Knights. They are undefeated to start the year and have their toughest test thus far against the Broncos. This match could be the start of a great rivalry between these two clubs

Melbourne Storm
Desperately missing Papenhuyzen and Munster; something is not right at the Storm. Coach Bellamy summed it up best in his post-match interview when he referred to the ‘care factor’ of his squad. They should defeat the Tigers this week to return to winning form.

Canberra Raiders
A much-needed victory over the Sharks in Round 3. The Raiders have potential but appear to be their own worst enemy when building momentum. It is evident that they are capable but still appear well off the top teams in the competition.

Parramatta Eels
The Eels have lost each of their first 3 matches by 4 points. It isn’t through lack of effort. It doesn’t get any easier against the Panthers this week. If they lose that game, they face a tough task to keep touch with the leading teams in the competition.

Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs
Great for 65 minutes but began to run out of gas towards the end of their win over the Tigers. They are an exciting team to watch and create plenty of opportunities in attack. Their defensive structure still needs improvement though.

New Zealand Warriors
A strong, measured performance by the Warriors. If performances like that continue, they will be moving higher up the rankings, as well as the competition ladder. They return home next week for their first game in Auckland.

St.George-Illawarra Dragons
Competitive for 71 minutes but conceded 22 points in the final 9 minutes to lose by 22 points. Given up an 18-all score line at that point says a lot about the experience and potential of this squad. There is something to be excited about though and better performances are expected.

Gold Coast Titans
Unlucky not to be higher after a 4-point win over the Storm. Though, conceding 34 points against a team without 2 of their stars is cause for concern. The Titans need to back up that effort with consistency in their next few matches.

Newcastle Knights
The Knights are going to struggle for the next few weeks. They were competitive for stages against the Dolphins but suffering a 16-point loss at home will quickly deflate this squad. Pressure is building on everyone in the organisation. .

Wests Tigers
The finish to the match will encourage the Tigers. It shouldn’t, as their execution was poor for the entire match prior to this point. They need a dramatic change of form. They are winless and sit at the bottom of the competition ladder.
