An extra Super Sunday for Round 10, as Magic Round 2022 is rounded out with 3 enticing matchups, starting with the Cronulla Sharks taking on the Canberra Raiders. Both sides are coming off wins in round 9, but it must be said the wins were on opposite ends of the scale. With the Sharks missing two backs due to suspension, can the Raiders make it two in a row?
Next up, the match of the day, as the Sydney Roosters, fresh off a dominant 44-16 win over the Titans last week, take on the Parramatta Eels. The Eels, of course, are a week removed from their best performances of the season, snapping the Panthers’ home winning streak in a 22-20 victory.
Finally, the uber-impressive North Queensland Cowboys will take on the Wests Tigers. The Cowboys have won 4 straight and sit in 3rd position on the ladder and would view this as a very winnable game against a poor Tigers side.
Our Best Bets have been on fire the last 3 weeks, going 8-1 for a profit of +14.87 units. Let’s dive in to see if we can extract some more value and winners.

Two big names from the Sharks will miss a few weeks each, with Will Kennedy and Jesse Ramien both suspended after high shots last week. Whilst I don’t believe these losses are enough to see a Raiders upset, I believe in the conditions they could keep it tight.
These two sides met in round 1, with the Raiders sneaking home 24-19 in an exhilarating opening round win. Since then, the fortunes of these two teams couldn’t have been different. The Sharks have been a revelation, looking like a top 4 certainty, while Ricky Stuart and the Raiders have fumbled and stumbled their way to a record of 3-6 to sit 12th.
A sloppy win last week and tight loss to the Warriors isn’t exactly inspiring form, but with the shake up of the Sharks spine I’m taking the Raiders to keep this close.

This could be the game of the round on any other weekend, however with the Storm playing the Panthers on Saturday night, this game isn’t getting the fan fare it deserves.
The Eels were huge last week, taking down the Panthers at Blue Bet Stadium and ending the second longest winning streak at a home ground ever. They were always going to be up for the ‘Battle of the West’, and so it proved, winning 22-20 to get their top 4 aspirations back on track.
The Roosters finally started looking like the side we had all thought they would be this year, smashing the hapless Titans 44-16. The question is, are the Roosters back, or did they just beat up on a poor Titans team.
It’s difficult to judge, so I’m more looking at the potential of a let down spot for the Eels. They were poor two weeks ago in a look ahead spot, hammered 35-4 by the Cowboys. I get the sense they spent a lot of energy on their win last week and could be a little flat here. I’ll have a crack at the underdog to win, however I rate these teams very closely and believe the market is pretty much spot on.

Haven’t the Cowboys been great this year? Whilst I did have them rated a bit higher than most, I didn’t see them inside the top 4 after 9 rounds, and with a win here against the Tigers they’ll stay inside the top 4 after 10 weeks.
The Tigers showed some fight for a 3 week stretch, managing to beat the Rabbitohs and Eels in successive weeks, however looked very ordinary last week against the Dragons, and they appear back to their old habits.
I think this one is all the Cowboys, however with the weather and the potential for the pitch to be chewed up with 7 games before this one, I’ll be looking more at totals in this one.
The Tigers have struggled to score points, whilst the Cowboys’ defence has been tremendous all year. Add the weather and the pitch, and a Tigers under looks tremendous.

Valentine Holmes Anytime Tryscorer ($3.00 at Neds)
Tigers Under 14.5 Points
