AFL Richmond vs GWS Betting Tips
MCG, Saturday 15th May 7.25pm (AEST)
GWS will be hunting revenge for their unsuccessful trip to the 2019 Grand Final when they travel back to the MCG on Saturday night to take on the Tigers.
Match Prediction
The Tigers were embarrassed on Friday night by Geelong, going down by 63 points at the MCG. They will be back at headquarters this week for their seventh game in the opening nine weeks, fancy that. They have lost four of their last six games and currently sit just inside the top eight with an 4-4 record.
On the contrary, the Giants have won four of their last five after a bad start to the season and also have a 4-4 record, sitting outside the top eight on percentage alone. Despite a mass exodus of talent over the last few years, the Giants still have a bunch of A-Graders to call upon, any of whom are capable of winning games off their own boot.
The Giants injury list is still as long as my arm and they’ll be without thelikes of Stephen Coniglio, Phil Davis, Matt de Boar, Jeremy Finlayson, Nick Haynes, Lachie Keefe, Adam Kennedy, Braydon Preuss and Sam Reid for this clash. The Tigers injury troubles went from bad to worse through the week as Shai Bolton was ruled out for up to three weeks after injuring his wrist in a bar fight. He joines the likes of Trent Cotchin, Shane Edwards, Kane Lambert, Dion Prestia and Ivan Soldo on the sidelines.
The Tigers start as 11.5 point favourites here, which is about right given the two teams form and injury lists at the moment. With so many impotant Tigers out, I think the Giants remain really comepttive here and potentially even win. I love them in the H2H market but I like the ‘any other result’ in the H2H market more. I think this is an even game from start to finish much like their last game was, which saw the Giants win by 12 points.

Tigers Prop
Jake Aarts was one of the Tigers best in their demoralising loss to the Cats in Round 8. He booted three goals, taking his season tally to 11 for the season. He is fast becoming one of the Tigers most reliable goal kickers so $2.25 for him to snag 2+ here is good value.
Giants Prop
Toby Greene was utterly dominant in the Giants revenge win over the Tigers last season, booting five goals to lead his team to victory. He has been in brilliant form this season, kicking 21 goals in just eight games. He has kicked 3+ goals on three occasions this season already and is great value to do so again on the weekend.
