The Lions will host the Dockers in Sunday afternoon footy with both sides looking for their fifth win of the season. Brisbane go in search of their fourth straight win and come into this sky high with confidence on the back of a very impressive performance against Port Adelaide. The Dockers continue to prove inconsistent but have showed they are a team who can compete for a finals spot this year and will be looking to bounce back after a big loss to West Coast last week.
Brisbane vs Fremantle Betting Tips
Gabba, Sunday 9th May, 4:40pm AEST
Brisbane couldn’t have been more impressive last week after putting Port Adelaide to the sword here at the Gabba. Port are considered one of the benchmark sides of the competition and the Lions made them look second rate in a 49 point blowout. Joe Daniher is starting to find his feet for his new club while the elite midfield continues to create plenty of good opportunities for the big men up top.
Fremantle just can’t seem to string a few wins together and seemingly look to have turned a corner one week before backing that up with a poor effort the following week. They just didn’t show up to play last week in the WA derby and will be looking for a much improved showing here this afternoon.
Nat Fyfe and Andrew Brayshaw continue to lead the way for the Dockers and they will be key factors once again in this one. I think the firepower of the Lions may get them home and their forward line looks like it could be in for a big day. Joe Daniher and Charlie Cameron have been in super form and will enjoy coming up against the Freo defence who has been struggling of late.
The Lions are clear favourites with the bookies but I think they should cover the line in what might turn into a big win as they look to move inside the top 4 by the end of the round. Brisbane have an incredible record at the Gabba where they have now won 12 of their last 14 matches here.

Lions Prop Bet
Hugh McCluggage has been one of the form players of the competition in recent weeks and has been racking up disposals for fun. He’s passed 30 touches in three straight matches now and this looks another game where he can have a big impact with Lachie Neale still missing from the midfield. Should see plenty of ball and in a match where the Lions should win, he looks a key piece to their game plan yet again.

Dockers Prop Bet
No crazy odds about it but Nat Fyfe should get on the score sheet today and looks a pretty safe bet. He enjoys playing at the Gabba, having a kicked at least one goal here in his last four matches against Brisbane at this venue. Should see plenty of ball as always, and will need to be at his brilliant best if his side are a hope of winning.
