AFL Round 11 Adelaide vs Collingwood Betting Tips
Both the Crows and the Magpies will be desperate for a win on Tuesday night as they square off at Adelaide Oval from 6.35pm. The two teams are on different paths in 2020 but are both in bad form and have had under a week to prepare for Tuesday night’s game.
Adelaide
It’s been a season to forget for the Crows so far in 2020. They are still winless through 10 games this season and were absolutely pumped by the Demons in Round 10 to the tune of 51 points. There’s no doubt that 2020 is a complete right off for them and even if they were to show some signs of life throughout the rest of the season, there is little chance of them finding a win in the next three weeks with games against the Magpies, Bulldogs and Cats.
The Crows don’t have a lot to contend with in the way of injuries. In fact, only Brad Crouch and Rory Sloane are on the sidelines from their best 22 at the moment, but it’s a combined lack of experience and rapidly aging veterans that have resulted in the Crows demise just a few years after making the Grand Final.
One of the bright spots for the Crows this season has been the play of Shane McAdam up forward. The small forward has kicked only five goals this season but has been a real live-wire for the Crows offence and probably been their main target all season. He kicked two goals in the Crows 69 point loss to the Roos, his last game before being rested. Should return to the side this week and should represent good value to find the scoreboard.
Collingwood
The Pies looked extremely shaky but managed to get the job done in Round 10 against the Swans. It was a much needed bounce back win after they were defeated by the Dockers the week before. The win keeps them inside the eight by the barest of margins and the game against the Crows couldn’t have come at a better time.
Skipper Scott Pendlebury will miss one more week through injury but should be back to face the Demons in Round 12 while the Pies will still be without Jordan De Goey and Jeremy Howe. Add to that Adam Treloar, Will Hoskin-Elliot and Isaac Quaynor, who all suffered injuries in the win over Sydney.
Adam Treloar had been racking up massive numbers for the Pies week in week out. Through just six games this season, the midfielder has had four 30+ disposal games and leads the league in touches per game with an astonishing 29.33. Those disposals will have to go somewhere because we expect the Pies to still be winning the bulk of the ball through the middle of the ground. Taylor Adams looks the likely one to step up. He has averaged 30.7 touches per game in his last three games against Adelaide and had 24 touches and two goals when they last met.

Prediction
We have no doubt that Collingwood will win this game. The margin is the only factor at play. The Crows have looked competitive in some matches only to be blown out in the final quarter. They have only covered once this season, and that was in a three point loss to the Bombers back in Round 8. Since then, they have lost by 69 points to the Roos and 51 points to the Demons.
The line for this game sits at just 21.5 points and despite some average Collingwood form of late, we can’t see the Crows covering here.
