AFL Richmond vs Brisbane Betting Tips
Metricon Stadium, Tuesday, 7.10pm
Two of the best teams in the AFL will square off on Tuesday night from 7.10pm as the Tigers ‘host’ the Lions at Metricon Stadium. The two teams are both within the top three of the AFL premiership betting odds and this could well be a AFL Grand Final preview.
Richmond
After a disappointing loss to GWS in Round 8, the Tigers bounced back to absolutely pulverise the western Bulldogs at Metricon Stadium in Round 9. They were 41 points winners on the back of a dominant game from Dustin Martin, who racked up 26 touches and three goals in a best on ground performance.
The Tigers are still without a bunch of their key players through injury and other reasons but it doesn’t seem to be having much of an effect at the moment. The famous Tigers game style is really conducive to other players stepping in and everyone seems to be buying into it at the moment.
Love the way youngster Shai Bolton has been going about his football lately. With a bunch of midfielders out of the line-up, Bolton has become one of their more important players through the middle of the ground. He has racke dup exactly 19 touches in his last three games in a row and we like him to take the next step here and clear the 20 disposal mark for the first time this season.

Brisbane
The Lions had a dominant win over the Bombers in Round 9 to move to 7-2 on the season and currently sit in 2nd place. Lachie Neale continued his dominant season with a 33 disposal, two goal game against the Bombers which will no doubt result in another three Brownlow Medal votes.
The Lions have won their last three games on the trot by an average margin of 29 points and are maintaining a really strong injury list through their success. Stefan Martin, Daniel Rich, Dan McStay will be amongst their only exclusions from their best 22 this Tuesday night.
The return of Alex Witherden aligned with the absence of injury to Daniel Rich pretty perfectly for the Lions. Witherden stepped straight into the kick-out role for Brisbane and racked up 25 touches in the win over the Bombers including 20 kicks. As long as Rich is out he will continue to be the primary kick-in taker for the Lions, which should result in high numbers, especially against the Tigers who average the third most behinds in the league.

Prediction
The bookies have this as a 50-50 game and while we think it will be close, we are giving the slight nod to Richmond. The Tigers have won their last 14 games in a row against the Lions, a streak that dates all the way back to 2009.
The Tigers were big 57 point winners in their last meeting and we think their style of play is definitely a bad matchup for the Lions who love to play an extremely fast paced game. Back the Tigers to win this one and continue the streak.
