AFL Round 22 Sunday Betting Tips
Richmond Tigers vs West Coast Eagles (1:10pm, MCG)
The Tigers continued on their winning ways last weekend against the Blues, defeating them by 28 points. They got off to a fantastic start to lead the Blues by five goals at half time, which eventually ended up being the difference. Jack Graham was superb for the Tigers with 22 touches, 14 tackles and four goals straight. Shane Edwards also had a great day on his 250th with 27 touches and a goal.
The Eagles were able to restrain a desperate Crows outfit in Round 22 to defeat them by 10 points in Perth. Their forward line looked as potent as ever with Jack Darling, Oscar Allen, and Jake Waterman kicking three goals each. The Eagles remain in third position on the ladder and can jump back into the top two with a win on Sunday.
The Tigers are the form team of the competition in our view and are virtually unbeatable on their home deck when they’re on song. While the Eagles may challenge them for the most part, we have the Tigers being too strong.

GWS Giants vs Western Bulldogs (3:20pm, GS)
The Giants were lucky the Bombers said “hold my beer” last weekend, because they were horrible on Friday night against the Hawks. In what was a first for the AFL, snow fell down onto the field in Sydney. The Giants couldn’t adapt and recorded their lowest ever score to suffer their second big loss to the Hawks this season.
The Bulldogs were brutal in their thrashing of the Bombers in Round 21. They kicked 21 straight goals after the Bombers got the opener, and eventually ran home 100+ point winners. The Dogs are still a real chance of playing finals if they can keep ticking over the win column and other results fall their way.
The Bulldogs started the week as fairly sizeable underdogs, but punters soon backed them into near even odds. We believe they’re still great value and are a huge chance of beating the undermanned Giants.

Hawthorn Hawks vs Gold Coast Suns (4:40pm, Marvel)
The Hawks kept their slim finals hopes alive last weekend with a gutsy win over the Giants in really trying conditions. They got off to a hot start and never looked back as they recorded win number nine for the season. Destiny is out of their hands in terms of making the eight, but a big win here will at least keep their season alive for another week.
The Suns are the easy beats in the competition and have been since about Round 5. They haven’t won a match since they started the season at 3-1 and don’t look like changing that anytime soon.
It was smiles all around when it was announced that Roughy would in fact get a well-deserved farewell game. Expect the big man to play deep forward and be the main target for his teammates all game long. He will have opportunities galore and could very well finish with a bag of goals.
