The start of the 2019-20 EPL season is now just a couple of days away, which means it’s the perfect time to take a look at some of the best value bets for the season. Last week we looked at the title race and provided our best bet, which you can see here. This week, we turn our attention to player prop bets, which you can find below. As always, good luck to everyone following our plays this year!
2019/20 EPL Season Betting Tips
Golden Boot
The most prestigious award for goal-minded players in English football, the Golden Boot race is an intriguing one this season. Leading betting agencies have familiar faces leading the favouritism with Harry Kane, Mo Salah and Sergio Aguero all around $5-6. We tend to agree with both the names and prices of these top hopes but lean towards Harry Kane as our top pick. He’s as consistent as they come and always finds himself in the mix for the Golden Boot come seasons end. Kane emerged onto the scene in the 2014-15 season where he slotted 21 goals and came second to Aguero. He followed that up by winning the Golden Boot for the first time in 2015-16 with 25 goals and going back-to-back by winning again in 2016-17 with 29 goals. Kane scored a career-best 30 goals in the 2017-18 season but fell short to Mo Salah (32 goals) and went on to have his leanest season in some time in 2018-19 with 17 goals thanks to a string of long-term injuries. Fitness is the key for Harry Kane - if he can stay on the park, then $5.50 is a fantastic price.

Most Assists
Not quite as prestigious as the Golden Boot, but still an accolade many cherish is to finish the season with the highest assist tally. Last year it was then Chelsea player (now Real Madrid), Eden Hazard (15 assists), who edged out Bournemouth’s Ryan Fraser (14) for most assists. This year we’ve got our sights set on a bit of a long shot in the form of Manchester City’s Leroy Sane. The Citizen speedster finished second for most assists in the 2017-18 season with 15, falling one shy of teammate Kevin De Bruyne. Sane backed up his efforts with another double-digit assist season (10) in 2018-19, despite being parked on the bench for a ton of games. Now seemingly back in favour for a starting XI spot, we expect Sane to give it a real nudge again this year at long odds.

Golden Glove
Last but not least we look at an award that is earned by the goalkeeper that keeps the most clean sheets over the course of the season. Last year this award was won in dominant fashion by Liverpool shot-stopper Alisson, and he’ll be the slight favourite again this year. The other top hope is Citizen keeper Ederson, who, like Alisson, is a Brazilian international. For us, we just can’t go past Alisson. He’s coming off of one of the greatest seasons we’ve ever seen by a goalkeeper in the EPL, and there’s no reason why he won’t be right in the mix again. He’s our top pick.
