EPL Matchday 9 Betting Tips
Leicester City vs Burnley
Sunday 1am AEDT, King Power Stadium
Leicester look every bit like a top four team this season and it really would surprise if they didn’t keep up their current form. They’ve lost just two fixtures this season, one to Liverpool and one to Manchester United, and currently sit in fourth spot on the table. Moreover, the Foxes have a 3-1-0 record at home and banged in five goals against Norwich last time out at the King Power Stadium.
Burnley have also had a good start this season and currently sit seventh on the league table. However, they’re still yet to win away from home and hold a 0-3-1 record on the road. Further, they’ve only played one top half of the table team in those four games, which was a loss against Arsenal.
On current form, we expect Leicester to be too good at home for the Clarets. They’ve had no trouble scoring against mediocre sides this season and this weekend should be no exception, particularly with them being the home side. Expect them to win this by 2+ goals at great odds.
Wolverhampton Wanderers vs Southampton
Sunday 1am AEDT, Molineux Stadium
The Wolves had a nightmare start to the season and were winless through six league fixtures but have since come on strong. Wins against Watford and Manchester City in their last two have seen them climb to 11th position on the table with every chance of jumping into the top half with a win this weekend.
Southampton have had the opposite of campaigns to the Wolves in some respects. They started off the season with two wins from their first five league matches but have gone on to lose each of their last three. The Saints are now in 17th position and are only goal difference above the dreaded drop zone.
The Wolves have won two in a row in the league and four in a row in all competitions and would be absolutely brimming with confidence, especially after beating the champs on the road last time out. Getting around $1.80 odds for them at home this weekend against a team on a three-game losing streak seems like an absolute steal.

Manchester United vs Liverpool
Monday 2:30am AEDT, Old Trafford
Manchester United’s season has taken a turn for the worst since their 4-0 drubbing of Chelsea in Matchday 1. They’ve won just one of their seven league matches since that win and are coming off a poor loss to Newcastle in Matchday 8. Pressure is building on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and his men and you feel a good result against Liverpool on Monday morning is almost a must.
Meanwhile in Liverpool, every is looking fantastic. They’ve won all eight of their league fixtures this campaign and are now eight points clear of second-placed Manchester City. The Reds have been in a position like this on a couple of occasions over the past couple of seasons, so you can be certain that there will be no complacently amongst their camp.
These teams are in contrasting form and anything other than a Liverpool win would be a big shock. We’re surprised at the odds you can still get for them to win, so we’ll be backing them to the hills on Monday night as they add more salt to injury.
