We hit on four out of seven bets in last weekends AFL betting tips for another profitable week! The AFL reverts to it’s full slate of games this weekend before the three by rounds start next week. Round 11 gets underway with an interesting matchup between Sydney and Carlton at the SCG on Friday night and we have you covered with a full preview and tips for the game below.
Sydney come into Round 11 on the back of a strong performance against the Lions on Saturday afternoon. They downed Brisbane by 18 points at the Gabba as Josh Kennedy was once again fantastic in the win and a bunch of other Swans chipped in with good games.
After their Round 8 win over Essendon, the Blues have lost their last two games against the Demons and Cats respectively and have another extremely tough matchup against the Swans at the SCG this weekend. Skipper March Murphy could remain on the sidelines with a foot injury that has kept him out of the Blues side last weekend.
Sydney were looking pretty good on the injury front and were starting to get some continuity together before an incident at training will see Callum Mills miss the rest od the season with a foot injury.
Tough match to preview here in terms of gambling. The Swans start as $1.04 favourites with a 53.5 point line and I think that is right on the mark. The two teams faced off twice last season and while Carlton won the first matchup by 19 points, that was when Sydney were at the peak of their horror start to the season. When they met again in Round 23, Sydney ran out 81 point winners as Lance Franklin booted 10 goals.
Franklin has kicked four goals in his two games since returning from injury and will line up on either Liam Jones or Jacob Weitering this week, the same duo who he dominated late last year. The two teams scored an average of 185 total points in the two games last year and the Blues allowed Melbourne to score a whopping 159 points on them just two games ago.
The total point line is just 165 for this clash and at the moment the weather forecast looks pretty good for Friday night in Sydney. We think Buddy has another big game here and the Swans score over 110 for just the third time this year.
