2018-19 Champions League Day 4 Betting Tips
Atletico Madrid vs Borussia Dortmund (Wednesday 7am AEDT)
Borussia Dortmund were big winners in their home leg of this fixture just a few weekInter Milan s ago, claiming a 4-0 win as Raphael Guerreiro slotted two goals for the German side. Atletico weren't without their own chances however, firing 13 shots, two more than Dortmund in the loss. Dortmund have been travelling well in the Bundesliga so far. They currently sit atop the league table with a 7-3-0 record through ten games and remain the only undefeated team in the league.
While they currently sit in third place in the La Liga, Atletico Madrid have had a largely inconsistent season to date in the domestic competition. They have only lost one game, which is tied with Barcelona for the fewest in the league, however, they have already racked up five draws to go along with their five wins and scored just 13 goals through 11 games.
Goal scoring has been Atletico’s major issue for what seems like nearly a decade now. Their defence has never been in question but the ability to score goals is what will see you advance in a tough Champions League group. Luckily for them, they racked up wins against the other two teams in the group in Monaco and Club Brugge so they shouldn’t have any problems advancing even if they lose on Wednesday morning.
The Spanish side has just one of their last five meetings with Dortmund in European competition. The last two times Dortmund have travelled to Atletico Madrid they have claimed one win and one draw and look real value here at $2 to claim at least a draw.

Inter Milan vs Barcelona (Wednesday 7am AEDT)
Barcelona claimed a 2-0 win at home a few weeks ago against Inter Milan and will travel to Italy for the return leg this Wednesday morning. One major improvement the Spanish side will see, however, is the inclusion of star forward Lionel Messi, who was injured for Barcelona’s win a few weeks ago. Barcelona have been near unstoppable in the La Liga so far this season, racking up a 7-3-1 record through their first 11 games and already sitting four points clear on top of the table.
Inter Milan have been one of the top sides in the Serie A through the early parts of the season. They currently sit in second place behind only Juventus with an 8-1-2 record and have allowed just six goals in their 11 games, the fewest of any side in the competition.
Inter Milan have won just two of their last 11 meetings with Barcelona in European competition and have failed to score a single goal in six of their seven games against the Spanish juggernauts in the Champions League. Milan might have the home field advantage here but add Messi to a side that is a few weeks removed from beating them 2-0 and you can’t look past Barcelona here.
Juventus vs Manchester United (Thursday 7am AEDT)
Tough time for Manchester United in their home leg of the Juventus matchup a few weeks ago. They were 1-0 losers on the day as Paulo Dybala slotted a 17th minute goal which prompted a defensive shutdown from Juventus. Manchester United maintained just 40% possession and fired only 2 shots on target in the game as they were comfortably handled from start to finish by the Italian side.
Juventus have been near perfect in the Serie A so far this season. They currently sit atop the table with a 10-1-0 record through 11 games while star recruit Cristiano Ronaldo has already slotted seven goals and sits third amongst the top scorers in the league. Ronaldo has also dished off five assists in the early parts of the season to sit second in the assist leaderboard.
Historically in European competition, these teams have been pretty even, however, the form of the two sides contrast each other in a big way currently. Manchester United have struggled in the EPL so far and looked out of their depth against the other big six clubs. We think Juventus claim a comfortable home win this week.
