Decent week for us in Draftstars last weekend as some of our more unique picks turned it on in the Saturday 30k tournament. Billy Longer in particular was great against the Tigers, scoring over 100 and leading us to a respectable score. We’ll look to be in the money this week as we present our Draftstars Team of the Week for Round 17 below.

AFL Daily Fantasy Team of the Week – Round 17
Defenders
Jake Kelly
Kelly had a monster game against the Bulldogs on Friday night, racking up 17 touches but adding 9 tackles and 8 marks. Extra time in the midfield and floating across half back really helped his mark and tackle numbers. Only averages 57 on the season but should be good for at least 70 moving forward.
Lynden Dunn
Dunn has had a really average last three weeks which has seen his price drop to just $8,100. Before that however he had two games over 70 and gets the easier opponent in the Gold Coast suns this weekend. Should benefit from having Jeremy Howe back in the side and will hopefully improve on his form slump.
Midfielders
Joel Selwood
Selwood disappointed us a few weeks back when he was a late withdrawal from the Geelong side. Came back last weekend with a strong 113-point performance against the Lions and is decent value at $15,850 this weekend. Plays the Hawks who allow the most points per game of any side so could be on for another big score.
Aaron Hall
Returns to the Gold Coast side this week after taking three games off. The ball magnet averages 26 possessions per game and 101 fantasy points which will be enough with his $12,500 price tag.
Christian Petracca
The Melbourne star isn’t a great accumulator of the ball yet but is extremely damaging when he gets it in his hands. Averages more than a goal a game and had a big score of 103 when Melbourne last played Adelaide earlier in the year.
Rory Atkins
Had a breakout game of 102 against the Dogs last weekend to boost his average on the year to 87. Scored 83 when the two teams met back in Round 8 which will be satisfactory given his cheap $11,700 price tag.
Forwards
Gary Rohan
Has finally started to find some of the form that kept so many Sydney fans excited throughout all of his injury problems. A massive 110 last weekend including five goals was extremely promising and has the ability to rack up big tackle numbers with his size and speed. Probably needs to kick 2 or 3 goals to score well but not out of the question.
Charlie Dixon
The Port Adelaide full forward has been in great form lately, kicking five goals last weekend and adding seven marks. Proved he doesn’t need to kick goals to score through with a 77-point performance the week before with only 1 goal. Plays the Roos this weekend so should have plenty of opportunity.
Ruck
Max Gawn
We’ve been waiting for the big man to return to form since he came back from injury, but consistent scores of 80-90 in the past few weeks has seen his price tag drop to just $12,500. Seems perfect for the taking this week playing against Sam Jacobs whom Jordan
