AFL Daily Fantasy Team of the Week – Finals Week 1
Forwards
Gary Rohan
Pretty limited on good cheap players with only two games on the slate this weekend so we have opted for a mid-priced team across the board. Rohan had 87 in his last game with 3 goals. Has kicked at least two in his last four games and is becoming more of a consistent accumulator. Good value for $8,950.
Charlie Dixon
Has kicked eight goals in his last two games and hasn’t scored under 80 in his last three contests. Should be a pretty free free flowing and high scoring game against the Eagles so will get plenty of opportunity.
Midfielders
Tom Papley
The young Swan has had a great season and continues to impress as a forward/midfield combo. Has four scores over 100 on the season but is consistently in the 80s or better and if he can snag one or two goals should score well.
Zak Jones
The Swans love giving the ball to Jones on the run so he can use his elite pace and kicking skills. Has racked up 30 kicks in the last two games and hasn’t been under 82 points in the last three. The Dons like to play fast and risky so Jones could have plenty of opportunity on the counter.
Robbie Gray & Chad Wingard
The dynamic duo from Port Adelaide have both had fantastic seasons, and Wingard in particular has been scoring well lately, averaging 97 over the last three weeks. Both picks probably a touch undervalued at $13k and $12,200 respectively and with the potential for this to be a high scoring game we like the duo in the midfield.
Defenders
Mark Baguley
The running defender has been great over the last 2 weeks, scoring 92 and 108 in rounds 22 and 23. A value pick at just over $10k but if we can get another 80 out of him it should be worth it.
Shannon Hurn
Another player that teammates love to give the ball to for his elite kicking skills. Racked up 17 kicks and 95 points last week and is also a great intercept mark. Had 11 marks in Round 23 and if he can lay a few tackles should score well.
Ruck
Tom Bellchambers
Two massive scores of 116 and 114 in his last two matches albeit against average opponents. Paddy Ryder probably the optimal selection here but we think Bellchambers represents good value at just $11,700.
