A-League Week 7 Betting Tips
Brisbane Roar Vs Melbourne City (Friday, 17th November, 7.50pm AEDT)
Brisbane Roar are coming off a 1-1 away draw to Melbourne Victory last weekend and are currently last in the standings with just 3 points from 6 games. They have had a really disappointing start to the season and have now drawn their last 3 games. Massimo Maccarone (4 goals) has been their lone shining light so far and is their only multiple goal scorer. John Aloisi’s men are going to need some more contributors if they’re to kick-start their season and make a push towards the finals.
Melbourne City drew 1-1 last weekend with WSW at home in a frustrating performance, but remain in 2nd place in the standings with a 4-1-1 record. They have been playing some really good football to start the new season and are beginning to look like genuine title contenders. Superstar Ross McCormack has delivered on all the hype to have 4 goals next to his name, while speedster Bruce Kamau (3 goals) has looked dangerous on the wings.
Melbourne City are definitely the form side coming into this match and will fancy their chances against the last placed Roar. We expect them to get the job done on the road.

Western Sydney Wanderers Vs Wellington Phoenix (Saturday, 18th November, 5.35pm AEDT)
Western Sydney Wanderers had another draw last week and are sitting 4th in the standings at 1-5-0. This makes it three 1-1 draws in a row for the Wanderers, who would be feeling a little hard done by. They have been the dominant side in most of their matches this season, without being able to translate it to the scoreboard. Oriol Riera has been terrific so far and is their only multiple goal scorer, tallying 4 goals from 6 starts.
Wellington Phoenix notched their first win of the season last weekend when they defeated Perth Glory 5-2 at home, moving them up to 7th place with a 1-2-3 record. It was a great response by the Phoenix after coming off a 3-0 smashing away to Perth a week earlier. There’s definitely room for improvement, however, as they’ve now conceded a league-worst 13 goals for the season.
Both the Wanderers and the Phoenix know how to find the back of the net, so we’re expecting a high scoring contest here, with WSW claiming their second win of the season.

Perth Glory Vs Melbourne Victory (Sunday, 19th November, 7.00pm AEDT)
Perth Glory were smashed 5-2 by Wellington on the road last weekend, handing them their third loss of the season and moving them to 5th place with a record of 2-1-3. Glory Coach Kenny Lowe will be hoping last weekend’s performance is an anomaly and that they will bounce back at home against a winless Melbourne Victory outfit. Adam Taggart has had a decent return to the A-League and has 3 goals next to his name, while Andy Keogh (2 goals) has been a serviceable strike partner.
Melbourne Victory drew at home to the last-placed Brisbane Roar in Round 6, leaving them in 9th place with a 0-4-2 record. This makes it 4 draws in a row for Victory who were dominant in possession once again, but to no avail. They came into the season as second favourite to lift the trophy, after losing the Grand Final in a penalty shoot-out last season. Besart Berisha bagged himself a goal in his return from suspension, but will need some more help if they’re to get their season back on track.
There is sure to be some carry over effect for Perth Glory after being embarrassed by Wellington last weekend, while Melbourne Victory will go into the game with a near full-strength squad for the first time this season. We are confident that Melbourne Victory will get their first win of the season.
TIP: Melbourne Victory to win - $2.80 at Ladbrokes
