Plenty of great soccer action on this weekend with the winding down of the EPL season, the beginning of the A-League finals series and of course, two massive FA Cup Semi Final clashes! We take a look at both games and give our predictions as to who will make the final below.
2017-18 FA Cup Semi Finals Betting Tips
Manchester United vs Tottenham (Sunday 2.15am AEST)
Manchester United will be looking to cap off a fantastic domestic season with an FA Cup final appearance after finising the EPL season in the top four to qualify for another Champions League. They’ll be facing off against Tottenham at Wembley on Sunday morning, and although the match is supposed to be a natural match, it will feel like a Tottenham home game after the Spurs have been playing at Wembley all season due to renovations on their home ground.
Tottenham have been impressive in the domestic competition recently, winning seven of their last 10 games and losing just one in that time. Manchester United can tie Arsenal’s record of 13 wins with a victory in this season’s FA Cup, while Tottenham sit third on the list with an impressive eight wins in the tournament.
However, it’s been a long FA Cup drought for the Spurs, who have lost their last seven consecutive FA Cup semi final appearances, and last lifted the trophy in 1991. Manchester Unite on the other hand have progressed to the final in 14 of their last 16 semi final appearances.
Tough game to call here, both teams are in fantastic form at the moment, and while recent history definitely favours Manchester United, I like the Spurs here in what should feel like a home game.

Chelsea vs Tottenham (Monday 12am AEST)
Chelsea will be praying that they can salvage something from an otherwise extremely disappointing season when they line-up against Southampton at midnight on Sunday night. It’s been a season to forget for the Blues, who currently sit in fifth place on the EPL table, having won just four of their last 10 games. They have, however, picked up wins in their last two games in a row, defeating Southampton 3-2 away from home just last weekend.
If you can call Chelsea’s season a disappointing one, then you might struggle to find the right words to describe the Saint’s year. They have won just five of their 34 EPL matches so far, which is the second lowest tally in the league, and currently sit in the relegation zone by four points.
It’s a horror downfall from an impressive 8th place finish last season for the Saints, who will likely be a little more invested in these last four Premier League games and ensuring they stay in the top flight of English football than they will be in this FA Cup tie.
The two teams combined for five goals in their recent matchup, which has adjusted the odds a bit for the total goal market in this game. With a lot more on the line for the Blues here, I actually think this will be a bit of a low scoring slug fest that sees Chelsea come out on top.
