Another breakeven week in EPL betting as we hit on two out of four bets in the mid-week round. We are backing it up straight away with another slate of EPL betting tips for Week 15 of the season kicking off Saturday night.
EPL Week 15 Betting Tips
Chelsea vs Newcastle (Saturday 11.30pm AEDT)
Chelsea were dominant over Swansea in the mid-week round maintaining 61% possession and posting 21 shots to 2. However, they could only muster a 1-0 win, which was still enough to keep them in contact with the Manchester sides atop the table. After going down 2-0 to West Brom on Wednesday morning, Newcastle were able to fight back to secure a 2-2 draw and now sit 12th on the table with a 4-3-7 record.
Chelsea might not be in the most scintillating form at the moment, but unlike their cross town rivals Tottenham, they have still been finding ways to get wins on the board and remain at the top end of the table.
Chelsea have won 15 of the 22 Premier League clashes against Newcastle, drawing six more and losing just one. Newcastle’s only away victory against the Blues in the Premier League came all the way back in 2012. If this game goes to form Cheslea should have the edge here and we like them at the handicap.
TIP: Chelsea -1 - $1.70 at Ladbrokes
Everton vs Huddersfield (Sunday 2am AEDT)
Everton bounced back after a horror stretch of form to beat West Ham 4-0 on Thursday morning. The Toffees looked like a completely different team as Wayne Rooney scored a hattrick and Ashley Williams added another goal to secure the win. They’ll remain at Goodison Park this weekend as they face Huddersfield on Sunday morning.
Huddersfield have surprised lots of teams with their competitiveness throughout the season so far but they did not surprise Arsenal in their mid-week clash on Thursday morning. The Gunners burst out of the blocks with a goal in the 3rd minute and never looked back, punishing Huddersfield to the tune of 5-0.
Everton seem to be rejuvenated after a brilliant display from Wayne Rooney on Thursday morning, which is all we have to go on in this match as the two sides haven’t met in league competition since 1972. At home we give the edge to the Toffees here.
TIP: Everton to win - $1.73 at Sportsbet
Arsenal vs Manchester United (Sunday 4.30am AEDT)
The game of the round sees Arsenal hosting Manchester United at 4.30 Sunday morning. Both teams are in great form, having won their last three games with Arsenal in particular having turned their season around after a slow patch. The Gunners were massive 5-0 winners over Huddersfield on the weekend as all of their top attacking options found the back of the net.
Manchester United also claimed a good win over Watford, downing the Hornets 4-2 as Ashley Young scored a double. Zlatan Ibrahimovich made his second appearance for the season, proving to be a lethal striking option off the bench. With Paul Pogba back fit as well, the Red Devils look like a damaging outfit in attack and defence.
Arsenal have lost just one of the last five Premier League home games against Manchester United, with two wins and two draws throughout that time. The last two contests have provided just two goals apiece and we often see low scoring games in clashes between massive clubs. We expect this one to be another low scoring affair.
TIP: Total goals UNDER 2.5 - $1.91 at Ladbrokes
Manchester City vs West Ham United (Monday 3am AEDT)
Manchester City will be hunting their 12th win in a row when they face West Ham in the final game of the round Monday morning. They were lucky winners over Southampton on Thursday morning as Raheem Stirling scored a 96th minute goal to put the Citizens up 2-1 and ultimately hand them the win.
As we mentioned above, West Ham were terrible against Everton on Thursday, going down 4-0 and falling deeper into the relegation zone in the process. Star recruits Javier Hernandez and Marko Arnauotvic remain on the sidelines with injuries and without them the Hammers are really struggling to find avenues to goal.
Manchester City have won nine of their last 11 clashes against West Ham at the Etihad Stadium, a stat which pales in comparison to anything their current streak supplies. Manchester City are in the conversation for the best team in the world at the moment and we can’t see them giving West ham the slightest sniff here.
TIP: Manchester City to win to nil - $1.85 at Ladbrokes
