We just can’t catch a break in our EPL betting tips at the moment. The teams that we liked performed fairly well in Week 9 but as it often is with three results in soccer, it just didn’t go our way. We’ll look for a bounce back performance as we present our EPL Week 10 betting tips below.
EPL Week 10 Betting Tips
Manchester United vs Tottenham (Saturday 10.30pm AEST)
The game of the round sees Manchester united host Tottenham kicking off at 10.30pm Saturday night. Manchester United had their first slip up of the season on the weekend as they went down 2-1 to Huddersfield. They are now 5 points behind cross town rivals Manchester City and are in danger of losing more points here against a red hot Tottenham.
The Spurs have lost just one game this season and are currently on a four game winning streak in the EPL. Their performance against Real Madrid last week was also great as they secured a 1-1 draw in the group stage of the Champions League.
History sides with the Red Devils here. In 20 out of their last 25 trips to Old Trafford the Hotspurs have come away with zero points. The Spurs won their last clash back in May of this year and will be looking for consecutive league victories against Manchester for the first time since 1990. Manchester United are still yet to drop a point or even concede a goal at home this season and while Tottenham arguably have the form we have to side with the home team here.
TIP: Manchester United to win - $2.25 at Sportsbet
Arsenal vs Swansea (Sunday 1am AEST)
After a disappointing loss to Watford a couple of weeks ago, the Gunners bounced back in a massive way last weekend with a 5-2 win over Everton. All of the Arsenal forwards chipped in for the win with the Gunners registering five different goal-scorers.
Swansea have started to become the team we thought they would be at the start of the season, having lost their last two games to Leicester and Manchester United. They now have just two wins on the season and are hovering just above the relegation zone. They have a decent track record against the Gunners, having failed to score only once in their last eight visits to the Emirates.
Arsenal start as strong favourites here and it’s hard to look past them after their dominant performance at Everton on the weekend. There’s not much meat left on the bone at $1.20 but given the Swans have scored in so many of their previous encounters with Arsenal we think the double might be a good bet.
TIP: Arsenal to win and both teams to score - $2.50 at Ladbrokes
Bournemouth vs Chelsea (Sunday 3.30am AEST)
Chelsea faced a scare on the weekend as they went down 2-1 to Watford at Stamford Bridge, however, the Blues rallied behind striker Michy Batshuayi to come back and win 4-2 and stay relevant in the title race. They now sit 9 points behind Manchester City and have a good chance to secure more points this weekend against Bournemouth.
Bournemouth have won just two games so far this season and sit inside the relegation zone above only Crystal Palace. They Cherries have faced Chelsea 10 times in all competitions with the Blues winning 7 of those contests.
Although Chelsea suffered a shock defeat away from home at Crystal Palace a few weeks ago, they were coming off a tough mid-week game against Roma in the Champions League and should be more fresh coming into this game.
TIP: Chelsea -1 - $2.50 at CrownBet
Leicester vs Everton (Monday 12.30am AEST)
Another great contest to round out the week on Monday morning sees Leicester host Everton. Leicester overcame Swansea 2-1 last weekend to secure their second win and improve to 14th on the table. Everton have had a really tough time of it so far, this season, winning only two games and currently sit inside the relegation zone.
Everton have the wood over the Foxes in recent history, having won their last two clashes against them but come into this away game in some horrid form. The Toffees just can’t seem to find any offence, scoring just 7 goals through their first 9 games while Leicester have continued to find the back of the net even in their losses with their counter attacking style of play.
Leicester start as favourites in this one and we think the bookies have it right, especially with the home field advantage.
TIP: Leicester to win - $2.10 at Sportsbet
