After two big rounds of NBL, the Sydney Kings sit atop the ladder with a 2-1 record. Jason Cadee has been Sydney's star, while Jerome Randle has been the star of the league with breakout performances for the Adelaide 36ers. It will be interesting to see how this week plays out, so make sure to read on for our 2016-17 NBL Round 3 betting tips.
NBL Round 3 Betting Tips
New Zealand Breakers Vs Sydney Kings (Thursday, 20 October at 5:30pm)
After a huge Round 2, the Sydney Kings are now sitting at the top of the ladder. Despite starting slowly, they have found their form and are producing the style of basketball we all expected under the guidance of Andrew Gaze. Jason Cadee has been fantastic for the Kings, averaging 18 points per game, along with 4.67 assists.
In their grand final rematch, the NZ Breakers simply didn't have the gumption to defeat the Perth Wildcats. That might seem harsh, but the momentum was with the Breakers on multiple occasions yet they simply never managed to capitalise.
The Kings are on roll and despite the tough challenge playing in Auckland will present, we believe they will overcome the breakers and stay on top of the ladder.

Adelaide 36ers Vs Cairns Taipans (Friday, 21 October at 7:30pm)
For yet another season, the Taipans are uncompetitive and underwhelming to watch. This one should be just about as one-sided as an NBL game can be. The 36ers have provided us with some stellar performances so far and its hard not to see them cleaning up in this one.
Former Taipan and now 36er Nathan Sobey was on fire last week dropping 21points and 6 assists helping the 36ers secure victory against the Bullets. Expecting Sobey to help the 36ers to win this one easily.

Brisbane Bullets Vs New Zealand Breakers (Saturday, 22 October at 7:30pm)
The Bullets are already exceeding expectations, but it's not too surprising. They recruited well and are poised to quickly return to the previous heights of the franchise. Bad luck last week against the 36ers saw them lose by 3 points in a thrilling extra time encounter. The loss was the Bullets first for the season and we don't believe they'll suffer that feeling too much this season.
As for the Breakers, they currently sit with a 1-1 record for the season. A loss to the Bullets would be a devastating start for last season's runners up. But travelling to face Brisbane at home in front of a roaring crowd, after playing a couple of days earlier is a tough ask. The Bullets should score a relatively easy win.

Melbourne United Vs Perth Wildcats (Sunday, 23 October at 3:00pm)
Melbourne are the clear favourites to defeat the Wildcats on Sunday afternoon, but that just means there is a great opportunity for punters. Because Melbourne are seemingly overrated at the moment. After starting the season with back-to-back losses, United has found some form in their last two outings, but the truth is Melbourne haven't quite gelled yet and until they do, they cant be trusted. Goulding has underperformed and Cedric Jackson isn't yet having the impact we expected.
The Wildcats, meanwhile, are the same strong team with the same proven approach to winning as we’ve seen for the last few seasons. With a quick lineup change, the Wildcats have released Jaron Jackson and and resigned Andre Ingram. Ingram is a fast paced perimeter shooter coming from the NBA D league and should prove a worthy addition. Wildcats at these odds is the play.
