The penultimate round of the 2016-17 EPL season is upon us and although the title has basically already been decided and Chelsea will take home the silverware, there’s still plenty on the line for a few teams. With so many rescheduled games throughout the year, we have a massive week of EPL with 15 games to be played over the next 7 days. See our preview and tips for Week 37 (plus rescheduled games) of the EPL below.
EPL Week 37 Betting Tips
West Brom vs Chelsea (Saturday, 5am AEST)
It’s a massive game here for the Blues who, with a win, can wrap up the 2016-17 Premier League title. It would be Chelsea’s 5th Premier league title, trailing only Manchester United with 13 and it would be Antonio Conte’s 4th consecutive league title after winning the Serie A with Juventus in 2012-14.
Tottenham had given the Blues a scare after going on an 9-game win streak but a loss at the hands of West Ham last week means Chelsea will only need one more win to lock up this year’s trophy. West Brom can also cap off a great year by their standards with a a few wins to round out the season. Currently in 8th place, West Brom have been the best side outside of the traditional ‘Big 7’ clubs, and although they finished well outside of a Europa League berth, they’ll look to improve on that next season.
West Brom haven’t been in great form recently though, with only two Premier League points since the start of April. The Blues have lost just one of their last eight games against the baggies so we think they should win comfortably here.

Manchester City vs Leicester (Saturday, 9.30pm AEST)
In a tight race for the final spot in next season’s Champions League, Manchester City, Arsenal and Manchester United are all fighting for supremecy. Man City currently sit three points clear of Arsenal, with Manchester United one point further adrift. All three clubs still have three games to play so anything is possible from here. Man City’s fate is in their own hands here though and all they’ll need to do is continue to win and they’ll join Chelsea, Tottenham and Liverpool in Europe’s top competition next season.
After a woeful start to the season that had them in the relegation race, last year’s premiers Leicester City have clawed their way back up the table and now sit 9th out of danger and in the comfort zone. After a great run in the Champions League ended a few weeks ago, they’ll be in cruise control now knowing that they’ll have another season in the Premier League. A 7-1-2 record over their last ten games is second to only Chelsea and Tottenham and they’ve won their last two against West Brom and Watford.
It’ll be a step up in competition here as they take on Man City at the Etihad, where the Sky Blues have only lost one game all year, we cant see them stealing this game especially when their opponents have so much to play for.

Stoke vs Arsenal (Sunday, 2.30am AEST)
As we mentioned, Arsenal have a heap to play for after a win over Man U last week propelled them back into the race for fourth spot. They can’t afford to drop any points from here as they sit 3 behind Manchester City. Unfortunately they’ll get the difficult task of travelling to Stoke early Sunday morning (AEST) which is renowned to be an extremely tough place to earn a win.
Stoke have had a fairly up and down year. At one point they were in contention for a top eight spot, but after a tough stretch that includes just two wins from their last 10 games, they now find themselves back in 13th position, but at least well clear of the relegation zone. Their grittiness at home is exemplified by the fact that they have only lost one of their eight home games against Arsenal in Premier League history.
If you’re a fan of EPL memes you’ll know that Arsenal have a tendancy to choke in big games particularly at the end of the season when there is a lot on the line. They regularly finish 5th or 6th, just missing out on a Champions League berth and this is the sort of danger game that they usually succumb to. We like Stoke to at least ruin the Gunners chances of a top four finish with a draw here.
TIP: Stoke + Draw (double chance) - $2.25 at Sportsbet
Tottenham vs Manchester United (Monday 1.30am AEST)
The game of the round sees Tottenham host Manchester United early Monday morning. After their loss to West Ham on the weekend, Tottenham have all but thrown away their chance at winning the 2016-17 EPL Title. They’ll no come game time if they still have a chance at the title with Chelsea playing West Brom on Saturday morning.
Manchester United currently sit 4 points behind their cross town rivals in Man City and have easily the hardest run of the three teams fighting for fourth spot. They’ll have to play against the Spurs on Monday followed by games against Southampton and Crystal Palace to round out the season. Ultimately, Manchester United probably have a better chance at qualifying for the Champions League by winning this season’s Europa League. They are odds on to advance past Celta Vigo into the final, so depending on how they go in their matchup against the Spanish side on Friday morning, their priorities may lie with that competition.
Tottenham are still yet to lose a game at White Hart Lane this season and that impressive record will be some consolation to losing the title. Back them to win here.
