It’s a massive weekend of EPL action ahead as we draw closer to the close of the season. We are currently 2-1 on last weekend’s tips with the late Chelsea vs Southampton still to be played at time of writing. We’ll be hunting for some more wins as we preview the key games in Week 35 of the 2016-17 EPL Season.
EPL Week 35 Betting Tips
Everton vs Chelsea (Sunday 11.05pm AEST)
As mentioned above, the Chelsea vs Southampton game is yet to play out at time of writing so we don’t know what sort of impact that will have on the title run. But it shouldn’t worry the Blues for their away tilt against Everton on Sunday night. The Blues have had a very light schedule this year with no Champions League action, and although the last week has arguably been their busiest with an FA Cup semi-final on the weekend and a domestic tie still to play, they will no doubt be fresh going into the Everton game.
Everton weren’t able to capitalise against West Ham on the weekend, and were in fact out played by the home side. Everton maintained 59%, however, West Ham looked dangerous on the counter and fired 15 shots to Everton’s 4. The game finished 0-0 but there are promising signs there for a Chelsea fan. After a hot middle of the season, Everton has dropped away of late, winning just 5 of their last 10 games. Regardless of what happens in the Southampton game, with the Spurs breathing down their neck, it’ll be a massive game for the Blues, one they won’t want to lose.

Manchester United vs Swansea City (Sunday 9pm AEST)
Manchester United’s unbeaten streak is now at a remarkable 23 league matches and they’ll be aiming to add to that number here as they host Swansea on Sunday night. Manchester United have won their last three matches, one against quality opposition in Chelsea. Goal scoring has been limited at Manchester United, with Zlatan Ibrahimovic netting 16 goals, the next best is Jaun Mata with 6.
Swansea have the most porous defence in the league, allowing 68 goals in the season so far, so if Manchester United were to find some form going forward it’s most likely going to be here. The Swans are in a tough battle to stay out of relegation at the moment but with a terrible 3-1-13 record away from home we can’t see this match will improve their chances of staying in the EPL next year.

Tottenham vs Arsenal (Monday 1.30am AEST)
Arguably the biggest rivalry in the EPL gets another instalment Monday morning as Tottenham and Arsenal square off in the North London Derby. Tottenham are hunting down Chelsea at the top of the table, just four points down after an extremely impressive 7 game win streak. Arsenal, on the contrary, are sliding down the table, currently in 7th place with just four wins from their last 10 games.
However, no matter the form of the two teams coming into this game, the North London derby is similar to the ANZAC Day match in that any team can win on the day. Emotions will be high and teams will be firing on all cylinders, in these type of games I always give the slight edge to the home team.

Middlesbrough vs Manchester City (Sunday 11.05pm AEST)
The lock of the week in the EPL is that Manchester City will beat Middlesbrough. Coming off a disappointing exit from the FA Cup at the hands of Arsenal on the weekend and a while removed from the same fortunes in the Champions League, Manchester City will have it’s eyes solely on staying in the top four of the domestic competition to qualify for next seasons CL.
With their cross-town rivals just one point adrift, Manchester City will take no chances here, the only question is, how much will they win by. They have been prolific scorers all season, and while Middlesbrough have been one of the better defences of the bad teams in the league, they’ll struggle to keep out a fired up Manchester City team. The Sky Blues should take this one by multiple goals.
